AI Training Manchester
We run practical AI workshops for teams who want to use ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and similar tools well and safely. Sessions take place at your Manchester premises or online, and cover writing clear prompts, spotting made-up facts and knowing what must never be pasted into a public tool.

Why staff need more than a login
Giving people access to an AI assistant is easy. Getting consistent, accurate work out of it is not. Without guidance, staff write one-line requests and accept the first answer. Language models produce fluent text whether or not the content is right, and they can invent figures, quotes, sources or policy details that sound entirely plausible.
The other risk is data. Pasting a customer complaint, a payroll spreadsheet or a draft contract into a free public chatbot may send personal or confidential information to a third party under consumer terms.
Our workshops deal with both. People leave able to write a structured prompt, check the answer properly and decide whether a task belongs in an AI tool at all. Training works best when it sits alongside a written AI use policy, so the rules people learn match the rules they are held to.
Teams we train
Sessions are shaped around roles, because a sales adviser and a payroll clerk need different examples.
- Sales teams drafting follow-ups, proposals and call notes.
- Admin and operations staff summarising emails, minutes and procedures.
- Marketing teams producing first drafts, briefs and social posts for human editing.
- Managers who need to set expectations and review AI-assisted work.
How a training programme comes together
Short pre-training survey
Staff tell us which tools they use, what they already try and where they get stuck.
Agree tools and rules
We confirm which tools are approved, what licences you hold and any existing data rules, so we teach to your setup.
Build role-based exercises
Exercises use anonymised versions of your own documents and tasks, never live customer data.
Deliver hands-on sessions
Groups work on laptops through real exercises, with time to compare results and discuss mistakes.
Follow up with guides
Attendees receive short written guides and prompt templates.
What attendees and managers receive
- Role-specific workshop sessions, on-site or online.
- A prompt template pack built around your common tasks.
- A one-page checklist for verifying AI output before it is used.
- A quick reference on what data must stay out of public tools.
- Guidance on features inside Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace you already licence.
- A short summary for managers on questions raised and suggested next steps.
The habits each workshop builds
Rather than tour features that will change next quarter, we drill a few habits that matter every day.
- Give context, role and format: say who the output is for, what it must include and how long it should be.
- Supply the source material: paste the approved text to work from rather than asking the tool to recall facts.
- Check every claim: verify names, numbers, dates and references against the original before sending anything.
- Keep personal data out: remove names and identifiers, or use only the business tools your organisation has approved.
- Stay accountable: the person who sends the work owns it, whatever tool helped draft it.
Teams that need answers from internal documents may later benefit from an AI knowledge assistant built on approved sources.
Frequently asked questions
Do staff need any technical knowledge to attend?
No. Sessions are aimed at everyday users, and we avoid jargon. If people can write an email and use a web browser, they can take part. Confident users are paired with others during exercises.
Which AI tools do you train on?
Whatever your organisation has approved, most often ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot or Gemini in Google Workspace. The core skills of prompting and checking carry across tools, but we use your actual setup so people practise with the screens they will see at work.
Can training happen at our office?
Yes. We deliver at your premises across Manchester and the surrounding area, or online for remote and multi-site teams. On-site sessions need a room, a screen and laptops for attendees.
How do you teach people to spot AI mistakes?
We set exercises where the tool is likely to get something wrong, such as citing a policy that does not exist or miscounting figures, then show attendees how to catch it. Seeing errors on familiar tasks sticks better than a warning slide.
Should we have an AI policy before the training?
It helps, but it is not essential. If you have no policy yet, we teach sensible default rules and note the questions that came up so your policy can answer them. Many organisations write the policy and run training together.
