Salon App Development Manchester
We design and build apps for hair salons, beauty and nail salons and barbers in Manchester. Clients choose a stylist and a service, see the right appointment length, pay a deposit on longer treatments and rebook in a couple of taps, all under your own salon name.

Why salons outgrow a generic booking page
A cut and a full head of colour are not the same length, and neither are two stylists. Generic booking pages flatten that, which is how a two-hour colour ends up squeezed into a 45-minute gap on a Saturday.
A salon app stores a duration for every service and every stylist, including processing time when the stylist can start another client. It holds a deposit on long treatments, sends a patch test reminder ahead of colour bookings and, if you choose, blocks the booking until a test is recorded.
Barbers often run on walk-ins, so we build a live queue: customers join in the app or at the door, see how many are ahead and get a notification when their turn is close. Shared booking rules are covered on our booking app page.
Chairs and counters we build for
The features change with the kind of shop you run.
- Hair salons with several stylists, colour work and long appointments that need deposits.
- Barbershops around Greater Manchester mixing walk-ins and bookings on busy days.
- Nail bars where technicians run gels, extensions and infills at set durations.
- Beauty and lash studios selling aftercare products and rebooking at set intervals.
- Salon groups where clients follow a favourite stylist between branches.
How we put your salon app together
Price list and durations
We go through your menu and record how long each service takes for each stylist level, with processing time marked.
Screens in your brand
We design screens in your salon’s colours and photography style.
Build and connect
We build the client app, staff view and salon dashboard, then connect card payments, tips and product stock.
Front desk trial
Your team runs the app alongside your current system for a short spell, so no booking is lost while we smooth the edges.
Store release
We publish to the App Store and Google Play under your salon’s developer accounts, with listing screenshots prepared.
Included in a salon app build
- Client app with stylist choice and per-stylist service durations.
- Walk-in queue with live position and turn alerts.
- Deposits on chosen services with your no-show terms at checkout.
- Patch test reminders and a dated record per client.
- Before and after gallery with client consent logged.
- Product shop for collection or delivery.
- Dashboard for rotas, bookings, takings and tips.
Features that bring clients back to the chair
The diary fills this week. These features help with next month:
- Rebooking prompts: a nudge when a client is due, set per service, such as a root touch-up.
- Loyalty: stamps or points per visit or spend, redeemed against services or products. We also build standalone loyalty apps.
- Tips by card at checkout, with the dashboard showing which stylist earned each one.
- Favourite stylist: the app remembers who a client sees and offers that stylist’s free slots first.
- Gallery: before and after photos, published only with the client’s agreement.
Marketing pushes for offers need permission and a clear opt-out. We set them up in line with published guidance on electronic marketing; take legal advice for your own situation.
Frequently asked questions
Can clients choose a particular stylist and see their prices?
Yes. Each stylist has a profile with their services, durations and prices, set by you in the dashboard. Clients can pick a stylist first and see only their availability, or pick a service and see whoever is free.
How does the walk-in queue work for a barbershop?
Customers join the queue in the app, or at the door by scanning a QR code or using a tablet on the counter. They see their place and get a notification as their turn approaches, so they can wait nearby instead of in the shop.
How do patch test reminders work?
When a client books a colour service, the app checks when their last patch test was recorded. If one is needed, it prompts them to book a test first and sends a reminder beforehand. Your staff record each test in the dashboard.
Can we sell our retail products in the app?
Yes. Clients can buy shampoos, aftercare and gift vouchers for collection at their next visit or for delivery. Physical products are paid by card through a provider such as Stripe, and stock levels update in your dashboard.
What happens to the client list in our current booking system?
Most salon systems let you export clients as a spreadsheet. We import names, contact details and visit history where available, check it with you, then invite clients to download the app with their details already in place.
