Quick answers

What are Correx event signs?

They are printed boards made from Correx, a lightweight fluted plastic board, in 21 formats built for events and street promotion: venue arrows, lamp post wraps and sleeves, bollard covers, fence tops, festival towers and poster boards from Single Crown up to 12 Sheet. For permanent signage, see our sign makers page.

Which format should I choose?

Start with where the sign will go. Venue Arrows point people along a route, the wraps, sleeves and toblerones go round lamp posts, Bollards A and B cover bollards, Fence Tops run along the top of a fence, and the Crown, Quad and Sheet sizes work as poster boards. Unsure? Ask us with a photo of the spot.

How much do Correx event signs cost?

The cheapest combination starts at £4.18 for one board, and 10 boards start at £41.76. Those figures are for Venue Arrows; the large formats cost more. Choose your format and quantity in the configurator to see the live price before you order. For a mixed set of formats, ask for a quote.

Are the signs printed on both sides?

Venue Arrows are printed on both sides so they read from either direction along a route. Every other format is printed on one side, which suits boards fixed against a post, fence or wall. If you need two printed faces on another size, describe the job on our quote form.

What thickness is the board?

It depends on the format and is set for you: 3.5mm Correx for most formats, 5mm for Double Quad, Super Quad and Festival Tower, and 5.5mm for 8 Sheet and 12 Sheet, the biggest poster sizes. Compare other materials in the signage and boards category.

How do I put the signs up?

Most formats come drilled, so they can be fixed through the holes, and the wraps, sleeves, toblerones, triangles and bollard covers are creased so they fold into shape. Venue Arrows, Festival Towers and Tower Cubes come plain. Check you have permission before fixing anything to street furniture. For fixed wayfinding, see directional signs.

How long do Correx event signs take?

Typical turnaround is around 9 working days, so order event signage well before the date. Collect from our studio in Manchester or choose UK delivery at checkout, where the cost is shown before you pay. The same options apply across the areas we cover.

Asked by buyers 22

What are the flat sizes of the poster formats?

Single Crown is 508 x 802mm, Double Crown and Quads are 1016 x 802mm, Double Quad is 2032 x 802mm and Super Quad is 4064 x 802mm. The sheet sizes are 1016 x 1504mm for 4 Sheet, 2032 x 1504mm for 8 Sheet and 3030 x 1504mm for 12 Sheet. For paper posters instead, see poster printing.

How big is a lamp post wrap?

The Lamp Post Wrap is 1200 x 2035mm flat, the Raised Lamp Post Wrap is 1200 x 1200mm, and the Lamp Post Sleeve and Lamp post toblerones are 1200 x 1220mm each. The A3 Poster Wrap is 1200 x 2174mm. All of them are creased, so the visible face is narrower once the board is folded round the post.

What is a Festival Tower?

It is a full 1220 x 2440mm board on 5mm Correx, supplied plain with no drilling or creasing. Its height makes it a good choice for big directional or sponsor messages at an entrance. For a freestanding fabric alternative at outdoor events, look at our feather flags.

How big are Venue Arrows?

Each Venue Arrow is 550 x 210mm, printed on both sides on 3.5mm Correx and supplied plain. They are the lowest-priced format in the range, which makes them easy to order in numbers for routes through a venue, campus or car park. Pair them with a pavement A-board at the main entrance.

What are Fence Tops and Widescreen boards?

Fence Tops are 3410 x 525mm strips and Widescreen boards are 2056 x 728mm, both on 3.5mm Correx and both drilled. Their long, low shape suits fences, barriers and railings where a tall poster would not fit. For a fabric option on the same fencing, see mesh banners.

What is Correx?

Correx is a fluted plastic board: two flat skins joined by thin ribs, which keeps it light for its size and easy to carry around a site. It is widely used for estate agent boards and event signage. See the other board materials in our signage range if you are comparing options.

What does drilling mean on these boards?

Drilled formats arrive with fixing holes already made, so you do not have to make holes on site. Drilling is set automatically for each format: most formats are drilled, while Venue Arrows, Festival Towers and Tower Cubes are supplied plain without holes.

Why are some formats creased?

Creasing lets the board fold cleanly along a line. It is used on the formats that wrap or fold into shape: the lamp post wraps and sleeve, the toblerones, the A3 Poster Wrap, A1 Triangles and both bollard sizes. All other formats stay flat. For flat rigid signs, see foam board signs.

Can I change the board thickness?

Not on this page. Each format has a set thickness of 3.5mm, 5mm or 5.5mm Correx, and the configurator selects it for you. If a job needs something different, request a quote and tell us where and for how long the signs will be used.

How many boards can I order?

Any quantity from 1 to 40 boards, and then 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 of one format. To mix formats, add each one to the basket separately with its own quantity. For runs beyond those numbers, contact us with the formats and totals you need.

How does the price change with quantity?

For the cheapest combination the total rises steadily with the number of boards: £83.52 for 20 and £375.84 for 90. Larger formats cost more per board, so check the configurator for your own format before ordering. The price you see there is the price you pay for printing.

Is anything added at checkout?

The configurator shows the print price. The Professional artwork and design service adds +£36.00 if you choose it. UK delivery is shown at checkout before you pay, and collecting from our studio is also an option. You can compare more signs in the online shop.

What artwork do you need for a lamp post wrap?

Supply a print-ready PDF at the full flat size of the format you chose. Remember that the board is creased and wrapped, so the main message should sit on the face people will actually see. If you are unsure where the folds fall, ask us before you set up the file.

Can you design my event signs?

Yes. Pick the Professional artwork and design service in the Artwork dropdown and our team will lay out the design for the format you order. Send your logo, the wording and any directions you need shown. For a full event look, also see event backdrop printing.

How should I set out arrows for a route?

Keep the wording short and large, with the arrow and the destination doing the work, because people read them while walking or driving. As Venue Arrows are printed on both faces, check that the arrow points the right way on each side for the direction people approach from. Fixed wayfinding is covered by our directional signs service.

Can I order several designs in the same format?

Each basket line carries one design. For several designs, add the format to the basket once per design with the right quantity for each, and supply a file for every line. If that becomes a long list, one email to hello@webprintsigns.co.uk with every file and quantity is simpler.

How do I order Correx event signs?

Choose the format in the Size dropdown and then the quantity; board, sides, drilling and creasing fill in automatically. Pick an Artwork option, add the boards to the basket and pay by card at checkout, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted. More signs are listed in the online shop.

Can I add other event items to the same order?

Yes. Add flags, banners or pavement boards alongside your Correx and pay for everything once at checkout. For example, add teardrop flags for an entrance or PVC banners for a stage or barrier, each with its own options and artwork.

Can I collect the boards in Manchester?

Yes, from our studio at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. Formats such as Super Quad and 12 Sheet are long and wide, so plan the pick-up with the sizes in the table on this page in mind. Collection is open to customers from across the areas we cover.

Can large boards be delivered?

Yes, UK delivery is available, and the cost appears at checkout before you pay. Because some formats run past four metres in length, make sure someone can receive a large parcel at the address you give, especially for a venue that is only staffed on event days.

Who uses Correx event signs?

Festival and event organisers, running and cycling clubs, churches, schools, estate agents and campaign teams use them to direct people, mark entrances and car parks, and promote dates. For safety messages on a site or at an event, see our safety signs page.

Can I reuse the boards after an event?

You can store the boards flat and use them again, so it helps to leave dates and one-off details off directional signs. Keep them dry and stacked flat between uses, and note which format went where so the next set-up is quicker.
