The brief

The client sought a web application to provide users with science-based keto dieting resources and tools. A core requirement was to integrate protocols from various medical professionals, such as Dr. Berg and Dr. Fung, into a user-friendly format.

The application needed to offer features like protocol-synced fasting, diverse meal plans, and intelligent food scanning, with an accessible trial period for new users.

What we built

We developed a comprehensive web application featuring 15 distinct keto diet protocols. The app includes functionality for tracking fasting periods synchronised with chosen protocols and offers 28 pre-designed meal plans.

Key features include a smart food scanning tool for dietary logging and a user account system. The application is designed with a mobile-first layout and incorporates structured data for relevant health and nutrition searches.

Design & technical notes

The design focused on a clean, intuitive interface to simplify complex dietary information and tracking. A clear visual hierarchy and a calming colour palette were used to enhance user experience and readability.

Technically, the application was built to be highly responsive, ensuring seamless functionality across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Emphasis was placed on efficient data processing for features like food scanning and robust hosting to support consistent access.
