Why glass needs marking
Building Regulations guidance in England (Approved Document K) expects large areas of clear glazing in busy places, such as glass doors and full-height partitions, to be made visible so people do not walk into them. The usual approach is a band or pattern at two heights: one between 850mm and 1000mm from the floor, and one between 1400mm and 1600mm. Your building’s responsible person or landlord may have their own requirements too, and we follow those.

Privacy without losing light

Do I legally need manifestation on my glass doors?
Building Regulations guidance expects clear glazing in places where people could walk into it to be marked. Who is responsible depends on the building, so check with your landlord or building manager. We fit to the recommended heights.
Can the manifestation include our logo?
Yes. A repeated logo or name works well as manifestation as long as it is placed in the right height bands and is visible against what is behind the glass.
Will the film damage the glass?
No. Window film is applied to the surface and can be removed later. Old film that has been on for years can take longer to remove, and we can do that too.
Can you fit while the office is open?
Yes, or we can fit in the evening or at a weekend so the work does not get in the way of staff or customers.
