AI Chatbot Development Hyde

An AI chatbot replies to the questions people type into your website or WhatsApp, using only answers you have approved, and hands anything else to a member of staff. We build them for Hyde retailers, care providers, trade suppliers and food businesses that spend too long answering the same messages.

What Hyde customers ask before they visit or order

Most messages to a local business are short and predictable. Shoppers heading for Hyde Market want to know which days you trade and if you take cards. Someone arriving by train at Hyde Central asks how far you are from the station. A buyer at a trade supplier wants stock levels, collection times and how to open an account.

Care providers get a different kind of enquiry. Families ask about visiting, vacancies and who to speak to, often in the evening after work. Those conversations deserve a person, but the first step, taking details and explaining what happens next, can be handled calmly by a bot that is set up never to guess.

We follow the same method as our AI chatbot development service in Manchester, adjusted to the questions your own customers send.

Planning the bot with you, online or across a table

The build happens mostly online. We hold a video call to agree scope, share a document of questions and draft answers, and test the bot together over screen share, with quick tweaks sent by WhatsApp. If you would like to sit down face to face, you are welcome at our office in Cheetham Hill, a drive of about half an hour along the M67 and M60, longer at rush hour, or we can come to you by arrangement.

How the chatbot gets built

1

Collect real questions

We read recent emails, contact form entries, Facebook messages and call notes, group them into topics and mark the ones that must always reach a human.

2

Agree every answer

You approve each reply in plain wording. Policies, opening times and product details come from you, never from the model’s general knowledge.

3

Connect your channels

We add the widget to your website and, if you want it, connect WhatsApp Business through the Meta Cloud API. Bookings can link to Calendly or Google Calendar.

4

Set the handover rules

We decide who receives each type of enquiry, by email, WhatsApp or your CRM, with the full conversation attached.

5

Test then refine

We send awkward, vague and off-topic messages before launch, then read transcripts with you over the first few weeks and fill the gaps.

Included when your chatbot goes live

  • A chat window styled to match your website and loaded after the page content
  • An approved answer document that stays your property
  • Handover alerts sent to the right person for each enquiry type
  • Access to every transcript, so you see what customers really ask
  • Retention settings and privacy notice wording based on published ICO guidance

Where a chatbot helps Hyde businesses, and where it should step back

Every bot needs clear limits. This is how we usually divide the work for the main types of business in the town.

  • Market and independent retail. Trading days, payment methods, click and collect, and whether an item is in. Complaints and refunds go straight to you.
  • Manufacturers and trade suppliers. Product specifications from your data sheets, lead times you supply, account applications and delivery areas. Custom quotes go to the sales desk with the details already gathered.
  • Care providers. Visiting arrangements, how to ask about a place and who to contact. Questions about a resident’s health or care are never answered by the bot.
  • Food and drink. Opening hours, table bookings and party enquiries. Allergen questions are always passed to staff.

Firms that hear from customers mainly on WhatsApp may prefer a WhatsApp AI chatbot, and if the aim is sorting serious buyers from casual browsers, look at AI lead qualification.

Frequently asked questions

Is a chatbot worth having for a shop near Clarendon Square?

It can be, if your phone and inbox fill with the same few questions about opening times, stock and collection. Staff serving at the counter cannot reply quickly, and the bot can. If you only get a handful of messages a week, we will tell you a chatbot is not needed yet.

Can you meet us in Hyde before we decide?

Yes, by arrangement. Meeting at your premises helps when several people answer enquiries and we want to hear how each of them handles customers. You are also welcome to visit our M8 office, and many clients simply prefer a video call.

Which AI model runs the chatbot?

We normally use models from OpenAI or Anthropic through their business APIs, whose terms exclude training on your conversations. The model is instructed to answer only from your approved material, and our team writes and tests those instructions.

Can the chatbot take bookings or orders?

It can pass customers to a booking tool such as Calendly, or collect order details and send them to your team for confirmation. We avoid letting a bot take payment or confirm stock on its own, because a person should check anything that commits your business.

Chatbot builds elsewhere in Tameside and in Stockport

We also build AI chatbots in Ashton-under-Lyne, chatbots for Droylsden businesses and chatbot development in Stockport. The complete service is set out on our Manchester chatbot page, and our services in Hyde lists everything else we offer locally.

Send us the ten questions your customers ask most and we will come back with a fixed quote and a plan. Request a chatbot quote, ring 0161 315 1151 or message 07737 902425 on WhatsApp.
