Privacy for Chorlton therapists and studios

Chorlton has a lot of therapists, practitioners and creative studios, many working from converted shops with large street-facing windows. Clients need privacy, but nobody wants a room that feels shut in. Frosted film solves this: it blocks the view in while letting daylight through, and it can carry your name or logo so the front still works as a sign.

Measuring and fitting

We measure every pane on site and note the floor level and door positions. Chorlton is roughly 25 to 35 minutes from our M8 office through the city centre, depending on traffic. We can fit before you open, after you close or at a weekend, so sessions and customers are not disturbed.

Getting privacy without a closed-off front

The usual approach for a street-facing treatment room or studio is frosting from just above the floor to above head height, with clear glass at the very top to let in light. Your name or logo can be cut out of the frosting at eye level so it reads clearly from the pavement. On a glass door, the frosting also does the job of manifestation, provided it covers the recommended heights, which are between 850mm and 1000mm and between 1400mm and 1600mm from the floor.

Cafes usually want the opposite: clear windows so people can see in, with just a band or logo on the glass door. A small amount of manifestation with your opening hours is often all that is needed.

Old film is common on Chorlton shopfronts, left behind by previous tenants. We remove it, clean off the glue and fit the new film on clear glass, which gives a much better finish than fitting over the top.
