Quick answers

What ages do the kids' custom t-shirts cover?

The Size dropdown has five age bands: Age 3 to 4, Age 5 to 6, Age 7 to 8, Age 9 to 11 and Age 12 to 14. Configure one band at a time and add each to your cart, so a class or squad with mixed ages can be covered in a single checkout. Teenagers who have outgrown Age 12 to 14 can move up to our adult Custom Printed T-Shirts.

How much does a printed kids' t-shirt cost?

One shirt starts at £29.04 on the cheapest combination of style, print area and colour. Ten start at £189.50 and fifty at £729.12, so the cost per shirt drops as the order grows. The configurator recalculates the total live as you change each dropdown. For a run larger than 50, send the details through Get a Quote.

Where on a child's t-shirt can the design be printed?

There are five Print Area choices. Front Left (10x10cm) suits a compact badge or crest. Front Centre (23x30cm) and Back Centre (23x30cm) take a large design on one side. For both sides, pick Front Left And Back Centre (10x10cm) (23x30cm) or Front And Back Centre (23x30cm) (23x30cm). Other garments with similar options sit in our promotional clothing range.

Which t-shirt colours can I choose for children?

Twelve colours are offered: White, Black, Navy, Royal, Red, Pink, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Grey and Dark Grey. That covers most school and club colours. If your badge or kit uses a very particular shade, ask the team which listed colour sits closest before you place the order.

How long do kids' t-shirts take to print?

Production usually takes around 5 working days once your order and artwork are in. Treat that as a guide rather than a fixed date, and allow extra time if the shirts are being posted rather than collected from Manchester. The areas we cover page lists the towns and regions we deliver to.

What is the difference between Classic T-Shirt and High Quality T-Shirt?

They are the two styles in the Style dropdown, and each is priced differently, so swapping one for the other changes your total. The product page does not set out the fabric weight or composition of either. If the feel of the shirt matters, for example for a school uniform worn every week, get in touch and we can talk you through both.

Can I order a single personalised t-shirt for a child?

Yes. The Quantity dropdown starts at 1, so a one-off birthday or holiday shirt is fine. It then runs in single steps up to 20 and in fives from 25 to 50. For a matching layer on cold days, the same kind of artwork can go on our Custom Printed Hoodies.

Asked by buyers 22

Which age band should I pick for a seven-year-old?

Age 7 to 8 is the obvious match, but children grow at different rates. If they are tall for their age or you want room to grow into, go one band up to Age 9 to 11. When you are ordering for a whole class, collect sizes from parents first rather than guessing. If you are unsure, call the team on 0161 315 1151.

Can I mix colours within one children's order?

Each configured line has one colour, so set up the first colour with its quantity, add it to the cart, then repeat for the next. Teams sometimes do this to give each age group its own colour, for example Royal for juniors and Red for the older players. Browse the wider clothing category if you also need adult sizes.

Which colours make a printed design stand out best on kids' shirts?

Contrast matters more than the shirt colour itself. A dark logo reads well on White, Yellow or Light Grey, while a light or white design shows clearly on Black, Navy, Purple or Dark Grey. Bright shirts such as Orange, Green or Pink suit bold, simple artwork with few fine lines. If you are torn between two colours, ask for advice when you order.

Are the shirts suitable for babies or toddlers under three?

The smallest band listed is Age 3 to 4, so there is no baby or toddler sizing on this page. If you need something for a younger child, for instance a family event where everyone wears the same print, describe what you are after on our quote form and we will see what can be done.

How big is the front centre print on a kids' t-shirt?

Front Centre is listed at 23x30cm, the same as Back Centre. That is the space your artwork is printed within, so on the smaller age bands a design will fill more of the chest than on Age 12 to 14. Keep text large enough to read from a distance if the shirts are for a sports day or trip. More garment ideas are on our promotional products page.

Can I put a school logo on the front and names on the back?

The Front Left And Back Centre (10x10cm) (23x30cm) option gives a compact front crest plus a large back panel. Each configured line uses one artwork set, though, so a different name on every shirt needs to be discussed first. Describe the layout through Get a Quote and we will price personalised backs.

Is a front-left print big enough for a club badge?

Front Left is 10x10cm, which suits a badge, crest or short wordmark sitting over the heart. It looks neat on school trips and club kit without covering the whole shirt. If your badge has fine detail or tiny lettering, simplify it so it stays clear at that size, or choose Front Centre for more room.

Does the price per shirt come down for a full class?

It does. On the cheapest combinations a single shirt is £29.04, while 30 shirts start at £477.12, which works out far lower per child. Prices for every quantity show live in the configurator, so try 25, 30 and 35 to see where your class size lands. The online shop lists other items schools buy in bulk.

What quantities can I select for kids' shirts?

Any number from 1 to 20, then 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50. If you need 23 shirts, say, you can round up to 25 or split the order into two cart lines, such as 20 plus 3. For a bigger group, such as a whole school year, ask us for a bulk price and browse our promotional products for the rest of the order.

Does printing on both sides cost more?

Yes, the two-sided Print Area options add to the total compared with a single print. The exact difference depends on the style, colour and quantity you choose, so switch between Front Centre and Front And Back Centre in the configurator to compare. The live price updates each time you change a dropdown, before anything goes in your cart.

What file should I send for a kids' t-shirt print?

A print-ready PDF made at the size you want printed is the safest choice, for example 23x30cm for a centre print. Supplying your own artwork costs nothing extra. If you only have a logo saved on a phone or a rough sketch, contact us and explain what you have before you order.

Can you design a t-shirt for a birthday party or school trip?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service for £36.00 and our designers will put the shirt together from your wording, names and any photos or logos you have. It suits one-off designs like a party theme or a trip slogan. Our about page explains who we are and how long we have been designing.

Can a child's drawing be printed on a t-shirt?

It can make a lovely keepsake. Scan or photograph the drawing in good light so the lines are sharp, then either send it as your own artwork or ask the design service to turn it into a print-ready file. The design service is the £36.00 option you select when ordering. The same idea works well on our Personalised Cushions.

How do I order kids' t-shirts online?

Pick the Size, Print Area, Style, Tshirt Colour and Quantity, then choose whether you are supplying artwork or using the design service. The price updates as you go. Add the shirts to your cart and pay by card at checkout. For club coaches and helpers, our printed lanyards can go in the same order.

Which payment methods can a school or parent use?

Checkout takes card payments through Stripe, covering Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. That works for a parent buying one shirt or a PTA treasurer paying for a full class on a school card. Once paid, the order moves into production with the artwork you chose.

Can I order adult and kids' shirts with the same design?

Yes, put both in the same cart. Order the children's sizes here and the grown-ups' sizes on our adult T-shirt page, using the same artwork for each. Bear in mind the print areas differ: kids' centre prints are 23x30cm, while the adult centre prints are larger, so a design may need resizing.

Can I pick the children's shirts up in Manchester?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. That suits schools and clubs nearby who want to check the order and hand it out quickly. If you prefer, UK delivery can be chosen at checkout, where the cost is shown before you pay. Call 0161 315 1151 with any collection questions.

Can t-shirts for a school trip be delivered outside Greater Manchester?

Yes, we deliver across the UK, and the cost appears at checkout once your address is entered. When planning against a trip date, allow for production, which is typically around 5 working days, plus transit. Order early rather than leaving it to the final week of term.

What do schools and clubs usually order kids' t-shirts for?

Common uses include school trips, so staff can spot their group in a crowd, sports day house colours, leavers' shirts for Year 6, junior football and dance clubs, and summer holiday camps. Birthday parties and family days out are popular with parents too. Matching Cotton Tote Bags make handy kit bags for camps.

Do leavers' t-shirts work on this product?

They are a good fit. Use Front Left for the school crest and Back Centre for the class name and year, or the Front Left And Back Centre combination to do both. Age 9 to 11 and Age 12 to 14 cover most Year 6 pupils. A light shirt such as White leaves room for classmates to sign on the last day.

What else could go with kids' shirts for a charity fun run?

Matching shirts make young runners easy to spot and look great in photos. For the start and finish area, see our Feather Flags, and for sponsor thank-you gifts, our Custom Printed Mugs. Both can be ordered alongside the shirts.

Can a business sponsor a kids' team and add its logo?

Yes, a sponsor's logo can go on the back while the club badge sits on the front, using the Front Left And Back Centre option. Plenty of local firms back junior teams this way. If the sponsor also wants its name on a company van, our van graphics team can help.
