Quick answers

Which paper types can I choose for my invitations?

Seven are listed: 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish (the standard), 250gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish, 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish, 300gsm Premium Smooth White Paper, 300gsm Pearl, 350gsm Recycled Uncoated and 300gsm Brown Kraft. Pearl and Kraft are popular choices for weddings, while the silk board suits photo invitations. For folded cards rather than flat invitations, see Greeting Cards.

What sizes are the invitations?

Choose A5, A6 or Square 148mm x 148mm. A6 is a compact, easy-to-post card, A5 gives space for a full schedule or map, and the square format feels modern and a little more formal. Other sizes can be priced through Get a Quote.

Can I get envelopes with my invitations?

Yes, the Add Envelopes dropdown has a simple Yes or No choice, so you can have envelopes supplied with the order or source your own. Check the live price both ways. For printed business envelopes for other mailings, see our envelope printing Manchester service.

How much does it cost to print invitations?

Invitations start at £43.54 for 25 on the cheapest combination of options. On the cheapest settings, 1000 come to £68.40, which is actually lower than the £73.54 shown for 750, so check neighbouring quantities before you buy. The configurator shows the live total for your choices. Browse the full cards and invitations range too.

How long will my invitations take?

Allow around 3 working days for printing, plus delivery time if you are not collecting. That is a typical figure, not a fixed date. Invitations usually need posting weeks before an event, so speak to us early if your timing is tight.

Can you design my wedding or party invitations?

Yes. Add the Professional artwork and design service for £36.00 and a designer will create the layout using your names, date, venue and colours. If you already have a design, supplying it print-ready is free. Our invitation printing Manchester page has more on the service.

What events can these invitations be used for?

Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, product launches, grand openings and corporate events. The same product covers a 25-card family party and a 2000-card company event. For the tickets at a paid event, see our event ticket printing service.

What does 300gsm Pearl paper look like?

300gsm Pearl is the speciality paper on the list, and couples often pick it for wedding stationery because it looks distinct from everyday card. It suits simple designs with plenty of white space. If you want a soft, natural look instead, 300gsm Brown Kraft or 350gsm Recycled Uncoated are the alternatives on this page.

Is Brown Kraft a good choice for a rustic wedding?

Yes, 300gsm Brown Kraft gives a natural, earthy look that matches barn venues, outdoor ceremonies and botanical themes. Dark or white text designs read best on brown stock. For place cards on the day, our Tent Cards can be printed in a matching style.

Gloss or silk: which art paper should I pick?

250gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish gives a shiny surface that makes colour photos pop, while 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish has a softer sheen. Both are lighter than the 350gsm board. If you want a thicker, more substantial invitation, go for 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish, the standard specification.

Should invitations be laminated?

Lamination is offered as Both Sides (Gloss) or Both Sides (Matt), or None. Gloss adds shine, Matt gives a flat, modern look, and both coat front and back. If guests will write an RSVP on the card, choose None, since unlaminated paper takes ink more easily. Pair the invitation with a separate postcard if you want a writable RSVP card.

Do I need my invitation printed on both sides?

Single Sided is the standard specification and is enough for a straightforward invite. Double Sided gives you a back for directions, a dress code, a gift list or RSVP details, which saves printing a separate insert. Toggle between the two to see the price difference for your quantity.

Which size fits the most information?

A5 is the largest option and comfortably holds a schedule, venue details and a short map. A6 suits a simple party invite or a save-the-date. Square 148mm x 148mm sits between the two. If you need an extra info card, a Postcards order can work as an insert.

Can I order invitations in an unusual shape?

This product offers the three listed sizes only. For die-cut shapes, extra-large formats or folded invitations, request a price through Get a Quote, with a description of the shape and your quantity.

What is the smallest invitation order?

You can order 25 invitations, enough for an intimate dinner, a family christening or a child's birthday. The quantities then step up through 50, 100, 150 and beyond to 2000. Order a few extra for keepsakes and late additions to the guest list.

What is the price for 2000 invitations?

On the cheapest combination of options, 2000 invitations cost £113.38. That level suits corporate launches, trade events and large community gatherings. Your own choice of paper, lamination and envelopes will change the total, so check the configurator for the live figure.

Can I print personalised names on each invitation?

The standard order prints one design across the whole quantity. If each card needs a different guest name, that is not one of the listed options, so ask the team with your guest list size. Otherwise, leave a space and write names by hand.

How should I prepare my invitation file?

Send a print-ready PDF at the exact finished size: A5, A6 or 148mm square. Include the back as a second page if you choose Double Sided. Keep text a safe distance from the edges so nothing is trimmed off. For help, call 0161 315 1151.

What details should a wedding invitation include?

Names, date, time, ceremony and reception venues, dress code if any, and how and when to RSVP. Many couples add a website or QR code for gift lists and travel. Keep the front simple and use the back for the practical details if you print double sided. If you want a wedding website for those details, our web design Manchester team can build one.

Can my business launch invitation match our branding?

Yes, use your brand colours, fonts and logo so the invitation looks like part of the event. The design service can lay it out for you. For signage at the launch itself, our event backdrop printing page covers backdrops and branded walls.

How do I order invitations online?

Pick size, paper type, sides printed, lamination, envelopes and quantity from the dropdowns, and the price updates live. Choose an artwork option, add to cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe. Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all accepted. For questions before you pay, contact the team.

Can I order save-the-dates and invitations together?

Yes, set up each as its own item in the cart, then pay once at checkout. Many couples choose A6 for save-the-dates and A5 for the main invitation. For the thank-you cards after the day, Premium Greeting Cards offer coloured envelopes.

Can I collect invitations from your studio?

Yes, collect from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. Phone 0161 315 1151 or WhatsApp 07737 902425 to check they are ready before travelling. Our areas we cover page shows the towns we serve.

Do you post invitations anywhere in the UK?

UK delivery is available for every order, and the cost appears at checkout before you pay. Bear in mind the invitations come to you for posting to guests. Plan production, delivery and your own posting time back from the RSVP date.

Are these invitations suitable for corporate events?

Yes. Businesses use them for product launches, client evenings, awards nights and office openings. A heavy board with a matt finish gives a professional feel. For name badges and lanyards on the night, see our Lanyards.

Can I use them for a shop or restaurant opening?

A printed invitation sent to neighbours, local businesses and loyal customers builds a crowd for opening day. Add an offer on the back to bring people through the door. For the shop front itself, our shop signs Manchester team can quote for signage.

Do people use invitations for children's parties?

Yes, an A6 card in bright colours with gloss lamination is a popular choice for kids' parties, handed out at school or nursery. Order 25 for a class. For party decorations, a PVC Banners order can carry the birthday name.

Is recycled paper available for invitations?

Yes, 350gsm Recycled Uncoated is on the paper list. It gives a natural, matte texture and takes handwriting well. Choose None for lamination to keep the uncoated feel. The Recycled Flyers offer the same idea for larger handouts.

Who prints the invitations?

Your invitations are produced by Web Print Signs, the trading name of WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, which has been in print since 2003. The business also designs websites and makes signs. Learn more on the about page.
