Quick answers

What size is the green screen backdrop?

It comes in one fixed size, 1500mm x 2000mm, so there is no size dropdown. That is 1.5m by 2m, enough for head-and-shoulders video, a seated presenter or product shots on a table. If you need a wider or taller backdrop, send your measurements through Get a Quote for a custom price.

What material is the backdrop printed on?

The backdrop is printed on 440gsm Banner Vinyl, which is the fixed material for this product, so there is nothing to choose. If you are after a printed banner for signage rather than filming, the PVC Banners page offers a range of sizes and finishing options.

How much is a green screen backdrop?

One backdrop costs £156.00. Apart from the artwork option, quantity is the only choice that moves the price: 5 backdrops come to £780.00 and 10 come to £1,560.00. The configurator confirms the live total before you add to cart. For an order above 99, for example across a trust of schools, use the contact page.

How long does a green screen backdrop take?

Typical production time is around 6 working days. Allow extra for delivery unless you collect from Manchester. If you are filming on a fixed date, order with time to spare so you can test the backdrop before the shoot. Other studio and event items are in the display range.

Does the backdrop come with a stand or frame?

The page lists only the printed backdrop, at 1500mm x 2000mm in 440gsm Banner Vinyl, with no stand or frame option. If you need a way to hang or support it, ask the team what suits your space before ordering, and plan your setup around the fixed size.

Can I collect a green screen from your Manchester studio?

Yes. Backdrops can be collected from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. UK delivery is also available, with the cost added at checkout before payment. Schools and studios outside the city can check our areas we cover page.

Which artwork option should I choose?

The artwork step offers two routes: the free print-ready upload, where you supply the file, or the Professional artwork and design service at +£36.00, where the layout is prepared for you. If you want branding as well as the green area, the design service can place it. For a fully branded backdrop instead, see event backdrop printing.

Asked by buyers 21

Is 1500mm x 2000mm big enough for full-body shots?

It suits head-and-shoulders and waist-up framing well. Full-length shots of a standing adult usually need a taller and wider backdrop plus floor coverage, so the 2m height may be tight. For other big prints and custom sizes, see our large format printing page.

Can I order a green screen in a different size?

Only 1500mm x 2000mm is listed online. For a larger studio wall, or a backdrop that runs down onto the floor, request a custom price with the width and height you need through the quote form, and mention how it will be hung.

What does 440gsm Banner Vinyl mean?

It is the banner material this backdrop is printed on, and gsm refers to its weight in grams per square metre. The material is fixed for this product, so there is no option to change it. If you would rather have a fabric backdrop, compare Fabric Pop up Display Stands.

How should I light a green screen?

Light the backdrop evenly, separately from your subject, to avoid shadows and bright patches. Keep the subject a step or two forward so their shadow does not fall on the green. Even lighting gives your editing software a cleaner colour to remove, which saves time in post-production.

How do I hang the backdrop?

The page does not list fixings or a stand, so plan your own support, such as a backdrop stand, a wall rail or a frame. Pull it as flat as you can, as creases show up as shadows on camera. Ask the team what mounting suits the backdrop through the contact page.

What should presenters avoid wearing?

Anything green, as the editing software removes it along with the background. Shiny fabrics and very fine stripes can also cause trouble on camera. Brief speakers before the shoot. Branded polo shirts in a non-green colour keep staff on-brand in your videos.

Can I use the backdrop for live streaming?

Yes, it suits virtual events and streams where you replace the background with a branded scene. Set up the camera, lighting and backdrop in advance and test the key in your streaming software. For the website your stream links to, see our web design team.

How many backdrops can I order?

The Quantity dropdown runs from 1 to 30 one at a time, then 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95 and 99. That covers a single home studio up to a set for every classroom in a school. For a different number, request a price through Get a Quote.

What do 20 green screen backdrops cost?

20 backdrops come to £3,120.00 and 30 come to £4,680.00. Every backdrop is priced the same here, so the total rises in a straight line with quantity. The configurator confirms the live price before checkout. Branded items for a school or studio open day are on our promotional products page.

Are there any options besides quantity?

No. Size and material are fixed, so the only choices are the quantity and the artwork route. That keeps ordering quick: set the number, decide on artwork and add to cart. For backdrops and banners with more options, see the banners category.

Do I need to supply artwork for a plain green screen?

The product still asks you to choose an artwork option. If you are unsure what to upload for a plain green finish, call 0161 315 1151 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk before ordering, and the team will tell you what file they need from you.

Can the backdrop include a logo strip?

Yes, you can include branding in your artwork, for example a logo along the top edge that stays visible on camera. Keep it outside the area you plan to key out, as non-green elements will not be removed. For a freestanding logo stand beside the set, see Roller Banners.

What file should I send for a green screen?

A print-ready PDF at 1500mm x 2000mm is the safest choice. Use a single flat green across the area you will key out, rather than a gradient or texture, so the software has one colour to remove. Speak to the team if you need help choosing the colour values.

How do I order a green screen backdrop?

Set the quantity, choose your artwork option and add the backdrop to your cart. The price updates as you change the quantity. Payment is by card at the Stripe checkout, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Browse the online shop for other print to add.

Can a school or college order online?

Yes. Anyone can order and pay by card at checkout, and the delivery address can be the school. If your finance team needs to speak to someone first, call 0161 315 1151 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Read more about Web Print Signs.

Is UK delivery available for green screens?

Yes. Backdrops can be sent anywhere in the UK, and the delivery cost appears at checkout before you pay. Allow for production of around 6 working days plus delivery time when planning a shoot. Local buyers can collect instead; see areas we cover.

Who uses green screen backdrops?

Photographers, video producers, schools, content creators and event organisers all use them to swap in a background after filming. They also suit businesses recording training videos or product demos. For promoting the finished videos online, see our content marketing service.

Can schools use a green screen for lessons?

Yes. Pupils can present weather reports, news bulletins or history scenes, with the background added in editing. The 1500mm x 2000mm size fits a classroom corner. For school print such as awards, see certificate printing.

Is a green screen useful for product photography?

Yes, for smaller items. Shoot the product in front of the green, then replace the background with a plain colour or a lifestyle scene in editing. For printed packaging to match the shots, see our custom packaging boxes service.

Can I use it at an event photo booth?

Yes. Guests stand in front of the backdrop and the booth software drops in a themed scene, such as a branded background or a city skyline. Check that your booth operator supports green screen first. For a printed photo wall instead, see event backdrop printing.

Does a green screen help with video calls?

It can. A physical green screen behind you gives video call software a clear colour to replace, which usually looks tidier than automatic background blur. Keep it flat and evenly lit. If you also need help with your online presence, see our services.
