Quick answers

How much do printed lanyards cost?

The minimum run of 50 lanyards starts at £395.06. A run of 1000 shows £1,859.14, and the biggest listed quantity, 10000, shows £12,394.37. These are the cheapest figures per quantity; switching between single and double sided printing changes the live price in the configurator. Unusual runs can go through Get a Quote.

What are the lanyards made of and how big are they?

Every lanyard on this page is White Polyester, sized 20mm x 900mm. Both the material and the size are fixed, so there is nothing to pick there. If you need a different width or length, request it through a custom quote with the measurements you have in mind.

Should I choose single or double sided printing?

The Sides Printed dropdown offers Single Sided Print or Double Sided Print. Lanyards twist when worn, so printing both sides keeps your name visible whichever face is showing. Single sided suits a tighter budget. For a version with a breakaway clip, look at Custom Lanyards with Safety Clip.

What is the minimum order for printed lanyards?

The lowest quantity is 50. From there the dropdown goes to 100, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 750, 1000, 2500, 5000 and 10000. That range covers a single conference through to a large organisation's staff ID. For a few branded items on a smaller scale, see promotional products Manchester.

How long do printed lanyards take?

Lanyards typically take around 17 working days, longer than most items in the range. Plan backwards from your event date and order early. If the date is tight, speak to the team before you order.

Can someone design the lanyard artwork for me?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step, and a repeating layout of your logo or event name is set up to suit the 20mm strip. Supplying your own print-ready file is free. For a brand that needs tidying first, see Logo and Brand Refresh.

Can I collect lanyards from Manchester?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. UK delivery is offered too, with its cost shown at checkout before you pay. See areas we cover for the towns served from the studio.

Asked by buyers 22

Can I choose a coloured lanyard instead of white?

Not on this listing. The material is fixed as White Polyester, so colour comes from your printed design rather than the strap itself. A full colour background in your design can still give a strong brand look. For another option, compare the safety clip lanyards.

What clip or fitting comes on the end of the lanyard?

The attachment at the end is not specified on this product page. If you need a particular fitting for ID cards, keys or badge holders, check before ordering so it suits your cards. Ask through the contact page with a description of what will hang from it.

Is a 900mm lanyard long enough to wear comfortably?

The 900mm figure is the strap length, which forms the loop that goes around the neck. It is the only length on this page. If you need something shorter for children or longer for a specific use, describe it via Get a Quote.

How much space is there for my design on a lanyard?

The strap is 20mm wide, so your design runs as a long, narrow strip. Logos are usually repeated along the length with short gaps, and text needs to be bold and short to read at that width. A web address or event name works better than a full sentence.

Can each side of the lanyard show a different design?

If you choose Double Sided Print, the two faces can carry artwork, and you can supply a file for each. Many buyers repeat the same design on both sides so it looks right however it twists. If you want different content per side, make it clear in your files.

Can I add individual names to each lanyard?

The online order covers one design across the quantity, with no field for names per lanyard. For name badges, a better route is to print the names on the cards that hang from the lanyard, such as plastic business cards used as ID.

Does the price per lanyard drop at higher quantities?

Yes, quite sharply. The per-lanyard cost at 50 is far higher than at 1000, because the quantity bands are priced on volume. If you are between two quantities, compare the live totals; the next band up can be worth it if you will use spare lanyards at a later event.

Does double sided printing cost more?

The Sides Printed choice is part of the configuration, so the price changes when you switch it. Try both settings at your chosen quantity and compare the totals in the configurator before deciding which is right for your budget.

Can I order 150 or 600 lanyards?

Those figures are not in the Quantity dropdown, which jumps between set bands such as 100, 200, 500 and 750. Choose the nearest band, or ask for an exact number to be priced. Spare lanyards rarely go to waste for staff or future events.

What file should I send for lanyard printing?

A print-ready PDF set out as a long strip at the finished size is the safest choice. Use a vector logo so it stays crisp at 20mm high. If you are unsure how to lay out a repeat, the design service is the easier option.

What does the lanyard design service cost?

The Professional artwork and design service is +£36.00, added at the artwork step. It covers building the repeating strip from your logo, colours and wording. It suits event organisers who know what they want shown but do not have a designer.

Should lanyard colours match our ID cards?

It helps visitors and staff link the two at a glance. Use the same brand colours across the strap design and the card. If you need the cards printed too, see membership card printing for card ideas that work with lanyards.

How do I place a lanyard order?

Choose single or double sided, pick your quantity, and check the live price. Then supply your own artwork for free or add the design service, add the lanyards to your cart, and pay by card at checkout. The online shop lists the rest of the range for the same basket.

Which cards can I pay with for lanyards?

Stripe processes payment at checkout, accepting Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The total is shown before you confirm. Organisations with a different purchasing process can raise it on the contact page ahead of ordering.

Can I order lanyards and event badges together?

Yes. Lanyards and printed items such as tickets or cards can share one basket, each with its own artwork choice. For entry passes to go on the lanyards, see event ticket printing.

How are lanyards delivered?

UK delivery is available, with the cost shown at checkout once you enter your address. Collection from the Manchester studio is also possible, and the areas we cover lists the towns served. The typical production time of around 17 working days comes first, so build that into your plans.

Can lanyards be sent straight to an event venue?

You can enter a delivery address at checkout, which could be your venue rather than your office. Make sure someone there will receive them and that the date leaves a buffer before the event opens. For other venue print, see exhibition graphics.

Where is the studio for collection?

Collection is from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. There is also a second studio at 20 Burnley Road, Brierfield BB9 5HS. Call 0161 315 1151 or message 07737 902425 on WhatsApp to arrange a time once your order is ready.

Who uses printed lanyards?

Conference organisers, exhibitions, universities, healthcare providers and offices all use them for ID and access passes. They also work as a branded keyholder for staff. For signage at the same sites, see directional signs.

Are lanyards useful for trade shows?

Yes. Every visitor badge becomes a moving advert when the lanyard carries the organiser's or sponsor's name. That makes the strap a natural spot for a sponsor logo. Combine with trade show display printing for a consistent look.

Can lanyards help with workplace security?

They make ID visible at all times, which helps staff spot visitors without a pass. A clear design with your company name supports that. Lanyards can sit alongside safety signs as part of site rules.

What goes well with lanyards in a welcome pack?

A branded pen, a mug and a tote bag make a practical starter pack for new staff or delegates. The Global Classic Ballpoint Pen is a low-cost addition from the same range.
