Quick answers

What wire colours can I choose?

Three: Black, White and Silver, picked in the Wire Colour dropdown. Black is a safe, understated choice for reports and manuals, White sits neatly against light covers, and Silver gives a more polished, metallic look. See the full booklets and brochures range for other binding styles.

Do wiro bound booklets lie flat when open?

Yes. The wire binding lets each spread open fully flat on a desk, and the booklet can fold back on itself so only one page faces you. That makes it practical for manuals, workbooks and recipe books. For a year planner using a similar binding, see Wiro Bound Drilled Calendars.

How much do wiro bound booklets cost?

Prices start at £176.95 for 25 booklets on the cheapest combination of options. 100 booklets begin at £520.87 and 500 at £2,407.63. Size, paper, cover, lamination, page count and wire colour all feed the total, and the configurator shows the live price as you choose. For quantities outside the list, use Get a Quote.

How quickly can wiro bound booklets be made?

Typical production time is around 3 working days, the shortest of the booklet formats we list. Treat that as a guide rather than a promise, and add delivery time if you are not collecting. If a training day or board meeting is fixed in the diary, get in touch before ordering so the timing can be checked.

How many pages can a wiro bound booklet have?

The Pagecount dropdown runs from 60 to 104 pages, in steps of 4. If your document is shorter than 60 pages, Perfect Bound Booklets start at 40 pages, and Heavyweight Saddle Stitched Booklets cover 8 to 16 pages on heavy stock.

What cover materials are available?

Five: 250gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish, 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish, 300gsm Premium Smooth White Paper, 300gsm Synaps and 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish. The 350gsm board is the heaviest of the set. For general advice on choosing covers for printed documents, visit our brochure printing Manchester page.

Can I collect wiro bound booklets from your studio?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you would rather have them sent, UK delivery is available and the cost is shown at checkout before you pay. The areas we cover page lists the surrounding towns we work with.

Asked by buyers 22

Which paper suits a training manual?

For a manual with lots of text, 90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper keeps a 100-page booklet light to carry around. If the manual has colour diagrams or photos, 130gsm or 170gsm Art Paper in Gloss Finish or Silk Finish gives them more depth. Trainees often need somewhere to jot notes, so consider matching printed notepads too.

What is the difference between Both Sides and One Side lamination?

The Lamination dropdown has five settings: Both Sides (Gloss), Both Sides (Matt), One Side (Gloss), One Side (Matt) and None. As the names say, Both Sides applies the finish to both faces of the laminated sheet, while One Side covers only one. The live price shows the difference between them as you switch.

Gloss or matt lamination for a presentation document?

Matt gives a calm, professional look and cuts down on glare under bright office lights, which helps when people read along in a meeting. Gloss makes colours and photographs brighter, suiting sales decks and product pitches. Hand the finished booklet over in a presentation folder for a tidy finish.

Is 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish a good cover choice?

It is the heaviest of the five cover stocks, so it gives the booklet a firmer front and back than the 250gsm or 300gsm options. Combined with one of the matt or gloss lamination settings, it suits manuals and reference documents that will be picked up and put down many times over their life.

Which sizes can wiro bound booklets be printed in?

Five sizes are offered: A4 Portrait, A4 Landscape, A5 Portrait, A5 Landscape and 210mm Square. Portrait suits reports and manuals, landscape works for slide decks and charts, and the square format suits lookbooks. For anything outside these five, describe the size you need through Get a Quote.

Is A4 Landscape good for printing presentation slides?

Yes. Slides are wide, so A4 Landscape lets each one fill the page with little wasted space, and the wire binding lets the booklet sit open on a table during a meeting. Black or Silver wire suits a corporate look. To match the stand at a show, see our trade show display printing.

Can I match the wire colour to my brand?

The three choices are Black, White and Silver. Pick whichever sits best with your cover design: white tends to blend with pale covers, black with dark or bold ones, and silver with metallic or minimal styles. If your brand calls for a different wire colour, ask about it through the contact page.

Does the wire colour change the price?

Wire Colour is one of the dropdowns on the configurator, and the price updates live whenever you change any setting, so you can check straight away. Set your size, paper and page count first, then switch between Black, White and Silver to compare before adding the booklets to your cart.

What do 250 wiro bound booklets cost?

On the cheapest combination of options, 250 booklets come to £1,221.60 and 50 come to £296.64. Your chosen size, paper, cover, lamination, page count and wire colour set the real figure, so use these as starting points and confirm the live total in the configurator before checkout.

What quantities can I order?

The Quantity dropdown lists 25, 50, 100, 200, 250 and 500 booklets. If you need more than 500, or a number in between such as 75 or 150, the team can price that run separately; send the details through the quote form with your page count and size.

Will 104 pages cost much more than 60?

Every step up the Pagecount dropdown adds four pages to each copy, so the total rises as you move from 60 towards 104. Your paper choice can move it too. Compare a couple of combinations in the configurator to find the right balance between content and budget before adding the booklets to your cart.

How should I lay out pages for wire binding?

Supply a print-ready PDF at the finished size with the pages in order. The wire passes through holes along the bound edge, so leave a generous margin on that side to keep text and page numbers clear. If you are unsure how much space to leave, ask the team before you upload.

Can you design my manual or workbook?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step; its price is listed on the option. Send your text, diagrams and logo and the pages are laid out for you. If the manual supports a new product or website, our web design Manchester team can help on the online side as well.

Is supplying my own artwork free?

Yes. Selecting "Print-ready - I'll supply my own artwork" adds nothing to the cost of the booklets. It makes sense when your training team or designer already has finished files, or when you are reprinting last year's handbook with a few changes. A PDF at the finished size is the safest format.

How do I order wiro bound booklets?

Work through Size, Paper Type, Lamination, Cover Material, Pagecount, Wire Colour and Quantity, and the price recalculates after each one. Then choose your artwork option, add the order to your cart and pay by card through Stripe at checkout, using Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Other items can be added from the print shop first.

Can one order include booklets with different wire colours?

Yes. Each wire colour is a separate configuration, so add one batch to your cart in Black, for example, then set up the next in Silver. Each batch carries its own artwork upload. Everything in the cart is paid for in a single checkout, so you do not need to place separate orders.

Do you deliver wiro bound booklets UK-wide?

Yes. Booklets can be delivered to any UK address, and the cost is calculated at checkout before you pay. Local customers can collect from the studio instead. If you are planning around a course start date, allow for the typical production time plus delivery when you order.

Who produces the booklets?

They are produced in Manchester by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a print, signs and web company trading since 2003 that has helped over 20,000 UK businesses. Reach the team on 0161 315 1151, on WhatsApp at 07737 902425 or at hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Read more about Web Print Signs.

What are wiro bound booklets used for?

Reports, presentations, manuals, training packs, workbooks and recipe books are common uses, as the lay-flat binding makes them easy to work from on a desk. Offices and colleges order them for staff handbooks and course materials. For a branded notebook to hand out alongside, see the Custom A5 Notebook.

Is wire binding a good fit for a recipe book?

Yes. A recipe book that stays open on the worktop is easier to cook from, and the wire lets you fold it back to a single page. A5 Landscape or 210mm Square with a laminated cover is a sensible place to start. Restaurants wanting printed menus to match can see our menu printing service.

Would wiro binding suit a school or college workbook?

It suits them well, because students can open the workbook flat on a desk and write on the page in front of them. A4 Portrait with 90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper keeps a thick workbook manageable. At the end of the course, our certificate printing service covers the awards.

What else helps a printed pitch document look professional?

Matching stationery makes a pitch feel joined up. Leave a business card with the booklet and send a covering letter on branded paper. See business cards Manchester and Letterheads to keep the same colours and logo across everything you hand over.
