Quick answers

What shapes and sizes can I choose for printed beer mats?

You get two cut shapes, Rounded Corner Square and Circle, and two formats, listed as (93x93) and (107x107). Any shape can be paired with either format in the dropdowns, and the price refreshes as you switch. If your venue wants an outline or size that isn't listed, send the details through Get a Quote.

How much does beer mat printing cost?

The lowest price is £79.66 for 25 mats on the cheapest combination of shape, format and print colour. At 500 mats the cheapest combination comes to £159.34, so the cost per mat drops sharply as the run grows. The configurator shows the exact total for your choices, and the menus and hospitality range lists the other table items.

Can beer mats be printed on both sides?

Yes. Choose 4/4 - CMYK/CMYK and both faces are printed in full colour. Choose 4/0 - CMYK and only one face is printed, leaving the reverse plain. A common split is your logo on the front and a drinks offer or event date on the back. For other bar promotion pieces, see our point of sale printing page.

How long will my beer mats take to print?

Production usually takes around 4 working days once the order and artwork are in. Treat that as a typical figure rather than a fixed date, and allow for delivery afterwards unless you are collecting. If the mats must be on the bar for a launch night or beer festival, get in touch before ordering so we can talk through timing.

What board are the beer mats made from?

The product page doesn't state the board type or thickness for these mats, and we would rather not guess. If absorbency or stiffness matters for your venue, ask the team before you order. For a reusable mat with a firmer build, compare the Custom Printed Coasters.

What is the minimum number of beer mats I can order?

The Quantity dropdown starts at 25 and steps up through 50, 100 and 250 to 500. Twenty-five suits a one-off party or a single bar trial, while 250 or 500 makes more sense for a busy pub. For runs beyond 500, request a price through our quote form.

Can I collect beer mats from Manchester?

Yes. Orders can be picked up from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you would rather have the mats sent out, UK delivery is available and the charge appears at checkout before you pay. See the areas we cover for where else we work.

Should I pick a Circle or a Rounded Corner Square mat?

Both suit a bar top, so the choice is mostly about your artwork. A circle frames a round badge or roundel logo neatly, while a rounded square gives more usable corners for text, a QR code or a list of offers. If you are unsure, lay your design over both shapes before you order. Browse the hospitality print range for matching table items.

Which format gives more room for a design, (93x93) or (107x107)?

The (107x107) format is the larger of the two, so it leaves more space for a busy design or extra wording. The (93x93) format is the more compact choice and suits a single strong logo. Whichever you pick, keep important text away from the cut edge, especially on the Circle shape.

What does 4/0 - CMYK mean on a beer mat?

It means full colour print on one side and nothing on the other. The 4 refers to the four process colours used for the printed face, and the 0 means the reverse stays blank. It is the option to choose when only the top of the mat will ever be seen. For printing on both faces, switch to 4/4 - CMYK/CMYK.

Can I order mats with a special shape like a pint glass outline?

Only the two listed shapes are available to order online: Rounded Corner Square and Circle. If you have a bespoke outline in mind, describe it on the quote request along with your quantity and the size you need. That way the job is priced on its real spec rather than the standard options.

How does the price change between 100 and 250 beer mats?

The cheapest combination for 100 mats is £121.73, and moving up to 250 adds only a modest amount on top of that. Because set-up is a large part of any short run, a bigger quantity usually works out much cheaper per mat. Switch the Quantity dropdown on the page to see the live total for your exact shape, format and print colour.

Do the shape and print colour change the price?

They can. The quoted starting figures are for the cheapest mix of options, so choosing double-sided printing or a different format may raise the total. The fastest way to compare is to change one dropdown at a time and watch the price update. If you want several versions priced side by side, list them in an email to hello@webprintsigns.co.uk.

Can I split one order across two designs?

Each order line covers one design at the chosen quantity, so two designs means two lines in your cart. That is handy if you want separate mats for a lager promotion and a quiz night. Add the first set, go back to the product, set up the second and add that too before you check out.

What file should I send for my beer mat artwork?

A print-ready PDF made at the finished size of your chosen format is the safest choice. Build it in CMYK, use high-resolution images and convert fonts to outlines so nothing shifts. On a Circle mat, remember the corners of your file will be cut away. If you are unsure about setting up the file, talk to our team first.

Can you design the beer mats for me?

Yes. Pick Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) in the artwork choice and a designer will create the layout from your logo and wording. If you already have finished files, choose the print-ready option, which is free. Many venues pair new mats with matching Tent Cards so the table and bar share one look.

What works well on the back of a double-sided beer mat?

The reverse is good for anything you want people to read while they wait: a happy hour time, a quiz night, a food offer or a QR code to your booking page. Keep it short, because mats get a glance, not a long read. If the QR code points to your site, our web design team can build the landing page too.

How do I order beer mats online?

Choose your cut shape, format, print colour and quantity in the dropdowns, and the price updates as you go. Next, choose whether you are supplying artwork or using the design service, then add the mats to your cart. Payment is taken by card at checkout through Stripe.

Which payment methods are accepted for beer mat orders?

Checkout runs through Stripe and accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The order total, including delivery if you choose it, is shown before you confirm. Card details are handled by Stripe, and you can browse the full shop to add other items first.

Can I order beer mats along with menus in one checkout?

Yes. Add the mats to your cart, then carry on shopping and add other items before paying once. Bars often combine mats with Creased Menus or placemats when they refresh their branding, so the whole table changes at the same time.

Who prints these beer mats?

They are produced by Web Print & Signs, a Manchester print, signs and web company trading since 2003. You can call 0161 315 1151, message on WhatsApp at 07737 902425 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk with questions. Read more about the business on our about page.

Is UK delivery available for beer mats?

Yes, beer mats can be delivered anywhere in the UK. The delivery charge is calculated and shown at checkout, so you can see it before you pay. Collection from our Manchester studio is the alternative if you are close by and would rather pick them up yourself.

When should I order beer mats for an event?

Work back from the event date. Allow around 4 working days for production, add the time for delivery or a collection trip, and leave a little slack in case your artwork needs changes. If the event also needs tickets, our event ticket printing service can run alongside the mats.

Can beer mats be delivered to a different address from mine?

You enter the delivery address at checkout, so it can be the pub, bar or event venue rather than your home or office. Double-check the name of the person receiving the parcel, especially for a venue with set opening hours, so the box isn't turned away at the door.

Why do pubs and bars use printed beer mats?

A branded mat sits under every drink, so your name and message are in front of the customer for the whole round. They also keep tables cleaner. Pubs use them for house brands, guest ales and quiz nights, while breweries hand them to stockists. For signage outside the venue, see our A-board signs.

Are beer mats useful at weddings or private parties?

Yes. Custom mats with names and a date make a cheap keepsake for guests and help mark out the bar area. The 25 quantity is a sensible start for a modest gathering. Pair them with printed invitations in the same style so the whole event matches.

Can breweries use beer mats to promote a new beer?

Breweries often supply printed mats to the pubs that stock their beers, putting the brand on the bar where the drink is ordered. Double-sided printing lets you show the beer on one face and tasting notes or a social handle on the other. For a wider launch kit, see our promotional products.

How do beer mats compare with tent cards for promotions?

Beer mats sit flat under a glass and are seen with every drink, while tent cards stand up on the table and are seen from across the room. Many bars use both: mats for the brand and a short offer, tent cards for a fuller menu or event listing. Compare the options in our table talker printing guide.

Can a café use beer mats as drinks coasters?

Yes. The same mats work under coffee cups and soft drinks, and a Circle shape suits a round saucer area. A café might print its loyalty offer on the reverse to bring people back. For a matching stamp card, see our loyalty card printing service.
