Quick answers

Which totem models can I choose from?

The Model dropdown is long, with 69 entries. It includes totems such as Totem 3 Medium Correx and Totem 4 Large Akyprint, named stands like Miami, Boston and Toronto, A3 and A4 panels, leaflet pockets, Correx Prisms and even cardboard furniture. If you cannot tell which model fits your space, ask the team for a recommendation.

What materials can a totem be printed on?

The Substrate dropdown lists seven boards: Cardboard E Flute 1.4mm, Doublewall E+E Flute 2.3mm, Honeycomb cardboard 10mm, Akyprint 3.5mm, Correx 3.5mm, Correx 5mm and Foamex 3mm. Model names that include Correx, Akyprint or Cardboard hint at the board each one is built around. For flat signs on similar boards, see foam board printing.

How much does a printed totem cost?

Prices start at £148.25 for one totem on the cheapest combination of model, substrate and finish. 2 totems start at £296.52. Every dropdown can change the total, and the configurator shows the live figure before you add anything to the cart. For a bigger rollout than the online quantities allow, use Get a Quote.

How quickly can a totem be produced?

Production typically takes around 3 working days. That is a usual time rather than a promise, and delivery is added on top if you are not collecting from Manchester. Planning around a launch, a store opening or an event date? Talk to the team about your timing before you place the order.

Which finish should I choose for my totem?

The Finish dropdown offers None, Scratch resistant gloss varnish, Matt lamination and Gloss lamination. Matt lamination gives a flat, low-sheen surface and Gloss lamination a shiny one. As its name suggests, the scratch resistant varnish is aimed at displays that get brushed past or handled. For more in-store display print, see point of sale printing.

Can I collect my totem in Manchester?

Yes. Totems can be collected from the studio at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If collecting is not practical, UK delivery is available and the charge is shown at checkout. Our areas we cover page lists the towns around Manchester that we work in.

Can you create the artwork for a totem?

Yes. Add the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) at the artwork step and the design is built to suit the model you picked. That is useful for prisms and multi-sided totems, where the layout is harder to plan. Prefer to use your own file? The print-ready option is free. Matching Flyers can carry the same offer.

What is the difference between Totem 3 and Totem 4?

Totem 3 is listed in Small, Medium and Large versions, and Totem 4 in Medium and Large, across Correx, Akyprint and, for the small Totem 3, cardboard. The page does not give dimensions or describe the shape of each. Before ordering, ask for details through the quote form and say where the totem will stand.

Are there leaflet holders in the model list?

Yes. Several entries are pocket models, which suit leaflets and other literature: A3 vertical pocket 150mm, A3 horizontal pocket 210mm, A6 vertical pocket 105mm, B6 vertical pocket 105mm, Pocket 110, Pocket 160 and Pocket 220 among them. For a stand built purely around brochures, compare Customisable Cardboard Brochure Stands.

What do Singleface and doubleface mean in the model names?

Those models are A3 and A4 panels offered in singleface or doubleface versions, in vertical and horizontal layouts, and the names indicate one or two printed faces. Some are also marked Spot Corner, which the page does not explain, so call 0161 315 1151 if you need to know. For compact counter signs, see Foamex Strut Cards.

Can I order cardboard furniture here?

Yes, the Model dropdown includes a Cardboard Bench, Cardboard Chair, Cardboard Stool, Cardboard Bar Stool, Cardboard Pouffe and Pedreira Stool, all printable. They can dress an event space or pop-up. Check weight and use limits with the team before relying on any piece for seating. Our exhibition graphics page covers full stand fit-outs.

What are the Cardboard Anti-theft Gate Covers?

Two sizes are listed: 45x153.5x11.5 cm and 60x153.5x15 cm. Going by the name, they are printed covers for the security gates found at shop entrances, turning plain gates into branding space. Ask the team to confirm the fit against your own gates before ordering. Pair them with window graphics for a fully branded entrance.

What is Akyprint?

Akyprint 3.5mm is one of the seven substrates on the list, and several totem models carry its name, such as Totem 3 Large Akyprint and Totem 4 Medium Akyprint. The page does not describe its properties in detail. If you are choosing between Akyprint and Correx, ask the team which suits your setting.

Should I pick Correx 3.5mm or Correx 5mm?

Both are listed, and the 5mm board is the thicker of the two. It is the one to talk through with the team if the display will be large or moved around often. The 3.5mm version matches the board used in several of the named Correx models. For flat printed panels on a rigid board, see Rigid Boards.

When would I pick honeycomb cardboard?

Honeycomb cardboard 10mm is the thickest substrate on the list, far deeper than the 1.4mm and 2.3mm flute boards. That makes it the obvious board to ask about for the cardboard furniture models and bigger floor displays. Confirm the right pairing with the team before you order. More display options sit in the display range.

Can a printed totem stand outside?

The product is described for use indoors and outdoors, but the right board matters. Correx and Foamex are plastic boards, while the other options are cardboard. For an outdoor position, talk to the team about which substrate and finish to pair before you order. For a permanent outdoor sign, our sign makers can quote.

Should I add a finish if the totem is handled a lot?

A finish is worth thinking about when shoppers or visitors touch the display. Scratch resistant gloss varnish is named for exactly that kind of wear, and Matt lamination and Gloss lamination add a coated layer over the print. Choosing None leaves the print uncoated, which may be enough for a short campaign.

How many totems can I order online?

The Quantity dropdown runs from 1 to 5. That suits a single store, a reception or a handful of branches. For a larger rollout, such as one totem per branch across a region, send the numbers and the model you want through Get a Quote.

What do 5 totems cost?

On the cheapest combination, 5 totems start at £741.34 and 3 start at £444.79. The figure for your order depends on the model, substrate and finish you choose, and the configurator updates as you change each one. Other print for the same campaign can be added from the print shop.

Does the substrate affect the price?

It can. Each dropdown feeds into the live total, so switching from Cardboard E Flute 1.4mm to Foamex 3mm or Honeycomb cardboard 10mm may move the figure. Try a few combinations on the product page to compare before you commit. For flat boards priced by size, see Foam Board Signs.

How do I set up artwork for a totem?

Start from the model you picked, because each has its own panels and layout. A print-ready PDF at the finished size is the safest file. If you need panel dimensions or a template, ask the team by email at hello@webprintsigns.co.uk before you design. Branding for the same campaign can run onto Indoor Posters.

Can a prism show different messages on each side?

That is a common way to use a Correx Prism, with the brand on one face and offers or directions on the others. Note which artwork goes on each face when you supply files. The Correx Prism comes in 30x100, 50x70, 70x100 and 100x130 versions. For another tall upright display, compare Totem Displays.

I have no designer. What are my options?

Choose the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step and send your logo, colours and wording. The layout is then set to fit the model you selected. If your brand itself needs work before the totem goes to print, see our Logo and Brand Refresh service.

How do I order a totem?

Choose the finish, model, substrate and quantity from the dropdowns, and watch the price update. Select your artwork route, add the totem to your cart and pay at checkout with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. For small table-top messages to go with it, browse Tent Cards.

Can totems be delivered across the UK?

Yes. UK delivery is available for totem orders, and the charge appears at checkout, before payment. Larger models such as floor displays and cardboard furniture need room in the car if you collect from Manchester instead, so plan for that. Find out more about Web Print Signs and the studio.

What are printed totems used for?

Retailers use them to announce offers and new products, event organisers to direct visitors, and offices to welcome guests in reception. Their upright shape keeps the message at eye level on a compact footprint. For branding that covers a whole wall rather than a stand, see our wall graphics service.

Can a totem direct people around a venue?

Yes. Place totems at junctions, entrances and lift lobbies with arrows and room names. Correx Prisms and the Totem models can carry a different direction on each face. For permanent wayfinding that stays in place, our directional signs service is the better fit.

Are cardboard displays a good fit for a pop-up shop?

They suit short-term setups. Models such as Floor Display, Tower Display and Shelf Displays MOD.1 to MOD.3 can hold products and branding, and the cardboard furniture can dress the space. For window branding at the same pop-up, see shop window graphics.

Can I use a totem at an exhibition?

Yes. A totem at the front of a stand draws people in, and pocket models can hold brochures for visitors to take. Combine one with a backdrop such as Fabric Pop up Display Stands to build a complete stand from a few pieces.
