Quick answers

What sizes are indoor posters available in?

Five A-sizes: A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1. A4 and A3 fit noticeboards and shop windows, while A2 and A1 work as feature posters on walls and in reception areas. For anything larger, such as A0, look at our Outdoor Posters or ask about a custom size.

Which paper should I pick for indoor posters?

The standard specification is 120gsm Uncoated, but there are twelve papers in total, from 90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper up to 450gsm Silk. Lighter papers suit high-volume posters that get replaced often, and the heavier boards suit displays that need to stand up to handling. Our poster printing in Manchester page has more guidance.

What is the minimum order for indoor posters?

The smallest quantity is 25 posters, and the dropdown goes all the way to 100,000. That range covers a single shop campaign through to a national roll-out. If you only need one or two posters, our Outdoor Posters start at a quantity of 1.

How much do indoor posters cost?

Prices start at £36.79 for 25 posters on the cheapest combination of size, paper and sides. The configurator updates the live price as soon as you change any dropdown. Large runs bring the cost per poster right down, with 1000 posters at £74.38 on the cheapest combination. Need a figure for a custom run? Use Get a Quote.

Can indoor posters be printed on both sides?

Yes, the Sides Printed dropdown offers Single Sided or Double Sided. Double Sided is handy for posters hung in a window that people see from inside and outside, or for hanging displays. Most wall posters only need one side. Browse the posters and art prints category for other options.

How long do indoor posters take to print?

The typical turnaround is around 3 working days. Treat that as a guide rather than a fixed date, and add delivery time unless you collect in Manchester. For a promotion with a fixed start date, check the timing with us before you order.

Can you design my indoor poster?

Yes. Select the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) and a designer will lay out your poster from your text, logo and images. If your design is finished, choose the free print-ready option and upload it. For point-of-sale pieces to sit alongside, see point of sale printing.

Asked by buyers 22

What is the difference between silk and gloss paper?

Silk and gloss are different coatings offered at several weights here, such as 130gsm Art Paper Silk Finish and 130gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish. Gloss and silk give the poster a different surface look, so pick the one that matches your brand style. Not sure which suits your design? Ask our team.

When is 450gsm Silk worth choosing?

Choose 450gsm Silk when the poster needs to feel substantial, such as a display that leans on an easel or gets handled at an event. It is the heaviest option in the Paper Type list. For a rigid board that stands on its own, compare our foam board printing.

Is 90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper too thin for a poster?

Not for posters that go behind a frame, onto a noticeboard or into a window display for a short campaign. It is the lightest paper on offer, which keeps large runs economical. If posters will be handled or need to last longer, step up to 170gsm or more.

Which size works for a shop window?

A3 and A2 are the most common window sizes, large enough to read from the pavement without blocking the view inside. A1 suits a single bold message across a bigger pane. For permanent window branding, see our shop window graphics service.

Can I order A1 posters double sided?

Yes, Double Sided is available in the Sides Printed dropdown and the configurator will show whether your chosen size and paper combination is priced for it. Set A1, choose your paper, then switch the sides option to see the live total for that set-up.

Do you print indoor posters at a custom size?

The configurator covers A5 to A1. For a different size, such as a long narrow poster for a corridor or a square format, send your measurements and quantity through Get a Quote. Mention the paper you want so the price comes back accurate.

Why is 100 posters cheaper than 75?

The price table is not a straight line, and the cheapest price for 100 posters comes in at £46.49, below the figure for 75. The same thing happens at 250 compared with 125. It pays to check the next quantity up in the dropdown before you settle on a number.

Is it worth ordering posters in bulk?

For chains, franchises and campaigns, yes. The cost per poster falls steeply as quantities rise, and the dropdown runs up to 100,000. Order everything for a campaign at once rather than in batches. For leaflets to hand out alongside, see leaflet printing.

Can I split one order across several designs?

Each cart line has one design, so a mixed set means one line per artwork. Keep in mind that the minimum of 25 applies to each line. For a multi-design campaign with smaller counts per design, a single quote can work out better through our quote form.

What artwork format do indoor posters need?

A print-ready PDF at the finished poster size is the safest format. Use high-resolution images, as anything pulled from a website can look soft at A2 or A1. If you are ordering Double Sided, supply both sides in the same file. Questions about your file can go to our team.

How large should text be on an A3 poster?

Make the headline readable from a few metres away, and keep body text short. A poster works best with one message, one image and one action, such as a date or a web address. If writing the copy is the hard part, the design service can shape it into a clear layout.

Can I order the same design at two sizes?

Yes. Add each size as its own cart line with the quantity you need. Make sure your artwork is set up for each size separately, as an A4 layout stretched to A1 can look empty or blurry. The design service can resize one design across formats for you.

How do I place an indoor poster order?

Choose size, paper type, sides and quantity, and the price changes live as you go. Pick your artwork option, add to cart, then pay by card at checkout using Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can add more products from our online print shop to the same order.

Can a business order posters for several branches?

Yes, many retailers and franchises order one run of posters and share them across sites. If each branch needs posters sent to its own address, tell us before ordering so it can be organised to fit. You can read more about Web Print Signs and how we work. WPS has helped more than 20,000 UK businesses since 2003.

Can I collect indoor posters?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. UK delivery is also available, with the cost shown at checkout before you pay. The areas we cover page lists the Greater Manchester towns we serve.

How do large poster runs arrive?

They are delivered to the address you enter at checkout, and the delivery cost shows before you pay. Big quantities can add up to a heavy delivery, so make sure someone can receive it. For local orders, collecting from our Manchester studio is the other option.

What do businesses use indoor posters for?

Sales and offers in shops, opening hours and notices in reception, menus and events in pubs and cafés, and staff information in offices and warehouses. They are quick to swap when a promotion ends. For posters fixed to the floor instead, see vinyl floor stickers.

Are indoor posters suitable for schools and offices?

Yes. Schools use them for displays, timetables and events, and offices use them for notices, health and safety reminders and brand walls. For signs that must meet workplace safety rules, our safety signs service is the better fit.

Can I put indoor posters in an outside frame?

These are made for indoor use, and the facts do not describe any weatherproofing. A sealed outdoor frame may protect them for a while, but for exposed spots the safer choice is Waterproof Posters on PVC or PVC Free material.

Do indoor posters work for events?

Yes. Use A2 and A1 posters for directions and schedules, and A3 for venue walls and bar areas. Order them as one run so the branding matches. For a large backdrop behind a stage or photo spot, see event backdrop printing.

Can I use indoor posters to promote a gig or club night?

They are a classic choice for gigs. Order A3 for venue noticeboards and A4 for cafés and shops that will let you put one up. Promoters often pair posters with flyers handed out on the night; our flyer printing keeps the design consistent.

Are heavier papers better for posters that get reused?

They are the natural choice. A poster on 300gsm or 350gsm stock has more body than one on 90gsm or 120gsm paper, which helps when it is taken down, stored and put back up. For seasonal displays you bring out every year, the heavier stocks such as 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish are worth the extra cost.
