Quick answers

How many pages can a heavyweight saddle stitched booklet have?

The Pagecount dropdown offers 8, 12 or 16 pages. Saddle stitching folds the sheets and staples them through the fold, which is why the totals rise in fours. For a longer document, Perfect Bound Booklets start at 40 pages and go up to 88.

What paper are heavyweight booklets printed on?

The standard stock is 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish, a heavy board that gives the whole booklet real weight in the hand. The Paper Type dropdown also has 250gsm Art Paper in Gloss Finish or Silk Finish if you want something a little lighter. Other booklet weights can be compared in the booklets and brochures category.

How much do heavyweight saddle stitched booklets cost?

Prices begin at £115.18 for a single booklet on the cheapest combination of options, and the cost per copy falls quickly with quantity: 50 booklets start at £143.09 and 250 at £205.42. The configurator shows the live price for the size, paper, lamination and page count you pick. Larger runs can be priced through Get a Quote.

Can I order just one booklet?

Yes. The Quantity dropdown starts at 1 and runs through every number to 10, then 15, 20, 25 and onwards to 250. That makes it practical for a single sample, a pitch document or a short run for one meeting. Need something to hand it over in? See our presentation folder printing service.

How long does production take?

Allow around 9 working days for production. That is a typical figure rather than a fixed date, and delivery time sits on top if you are not collecting. If the booklets are for an event or a meeting on a set day, get in touch before you order so the timing can be discussed.

Which lamination should I pick?

Four settings are offered: Throughout (Matt), Throughout (Gloss), Throughout (Soft Touch) and None. Matt keeps a calm, low-sheen look, gloss makes colours stand out, and soft touch has a velvety feel. None leaves the silk or gloss paper exactly as printed. Our brochure printing Manchester page covers finishes in more depth.

What sizes are available?

Two: A4 Portrait and A5 Portrait. A4 gives room for reports, catalogues and magazine-style layouts, while A5 is handier for programmes, menus and pocket guides. If you need a landscape or square shape, the Wiro Bound Booklets page lists A4 Landscape, A5 Landscape and 210mm Square.

What is the difference between 350gsm Art Board and 250gsm Art Paper?

The 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish is the heavier stock and the standard choice here, giving each page more body. The 250gsm Art Paper options are lighter and come in Gloss Finish or Silk Finish. With only 8 to 16 pages, either weight keeps the booklet slim, so choose on the feel and surface you prefer.

Can the cover be a different stock from the pages?

Yes. Cover Material is its own dropdown with the same three stocks: 250gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish, 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish and 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish. You could, for example, pair a 350gsm board cover with 250gsm silk pages inside. The price refreshes as soon as you change either setting.

Is soft touch lamination worth choosing?

It depends on the job. Throughout (Soft Touch) gives a tactile finish that suits luxury brochures, wedding programmes and premium product guides. For everyday handouts, matt, gloss or None keep things simpler. If you want the same premium feel on your cards, see our luxury business cards page.

Can I skip lamination altogether?

Yes, choose None in the Lamination dropdown. The pages then keep the natural surface of the stock you picked, whether that is the silk board or one of the 250gsm gloss or silk papers. It is worth comparing the live price with and without a finish before you add the booklets to your cart.

Is A5 or A4 better for an event programme?

A5 Portrait is the more common pick for programmes because it is easy to hold, hand out and slip into a bag. A4 Portrait suits programmes with large photos, seating plans or sponsor pages that need space. For entry tickets to go alongside it, see our event ticket printing service.

Why does the page count stop at 16?

This product is set up for short booklets on heavy stock, so the Pagecount dropdown offers 8, 12 and 16 only. For a longer document on a heavy cover, Wiro Bound Booklets go up to 104 pages and include a 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish cover option.

Does the page count include the cover?

The product lists Pagecount alongside a separate Cover Material dropdown, so check how your file maps to the page total before ordering. If your design has, say, a cover plus 12 inside pages and you are not sure which figure to pick, ask the team and they will point you to the right setting.

Can I order a landscape version?

Not on this page, which offers A4 Portrait and A5 Portrait only. Perfect Bound Booklets and Wiro Bound Booklets both include A4 Landscape and A5 Landscape if a wider page is essential. If you need landscape on this heavyweight stock specifically, describe it on the quote form.

How much do 10 heavyweight booklets cost?

On the cheapest combination of size, paper, lamination and page count, 10 booklets come to £121.49 and 25 come to £132.00. Because the step from a handful of copies to 25 adds relatively little, ordering a few spares is often worthwhile. The configurator shows the exact figure for your own choices.

Why is one booklet priced so close to ten?

The price table shows the first copy carrying most of the cost, with each extra copy adding only a little on top. You can watch this happen in the live price as you move through the Quantity dropdown. If you are building a wider print order at the same time, browse the print shop for other items.

What is the largest quantity I can order online?

250 is the top of the Quantity dropdown. Above that, or for in-between numbers such as 60 or 120, ask for a price through Get a Quote, giving the size, paper, lamination and number of pages you need so the figure comes back accurate.

What file should I send for a 12-page booklet?

A single print-ready PDF at your finished size, with the 12 pages in reading order, is the safest choice. Keep text and logos back from the trimmed edges and away from the centre fold, where the staples sit. If you would like help getting the file ready, talk to the team via the contact page.

Can you design the booklet from my content?

Yes. Select the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) at the artwork step, then send your text, images and logo. It suits charities, clubs and local firms that have the content but nobody to lay it out. Keep the look consistent across the rest of your print with matching business cards.

Is it free to supply my own artwork?

Yes. Choose "Print-ready - I'll supply my own artwork" and nothing is added to the booklet price. That route suits anyone with a designer or a finished file from an earlier run. If you want the same design reworked as a handout, Folded Leaflets are a lighter companion piece.

How do I place an order for heavyweight booklets?

Pick Size, Paper Type, Lamination, Cover Material, Pagecount and Quantity, watching the price change with each choice. Next, choose whether you are uploading artwork or using the design service, add the booklets to your cart and check out by card through Stripe, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. More products are in the online shop.

Can I buy several versions in one checkout?

Yes. Configure the first version and add it to your cart, then return to the product and set up the next one with its own file. This works well for a programme in two sizes, or a report with separate editions for different departments. Everything in the cart is paid for together at checkout.

Can I pick up booklets from your studio?

Yes, collection from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB is available. Otherwise the booklets can be delivered anywhere in the UK, with the cost shown at checkout before payment. To see the towns and services we cover around the region, visit the areas we cover page.

Is UK-wide delivery available for booklets?

Yes. Enter your address at checkout and the delivery cost is calculated before you pay. If the booklets are needed for a fixed event date, add delivery time to the typical production time when you plan. The team works from Manchester with a second studio in Brierfield; read more about Web Print Signs.

What are heavyweight booklets good for?

Programmes for concerts, award evenings and sports fixtures, short product brochures, annual summaries and lookbooks all suit this format. The heavy stock makes a short booklet feel more substantial than a standard stapled brochure. For longer reports with many more pages, see Perfect Bound Booklets.

Can I use a heavyweight booklet as a restaurant menu?

Yes. An A5 or A4 booklet on heavy board with matt or gloss lamination makes a sturdy drinks list or a tasting menu split into sections. For single-sheet or folded menus, our menu printing Manchester service and Creased Menus are other routes to look at.

Would this format suit a property or interiors brochure?

Yes. Estate agents, developers and interior designers often want a few pages of large images on paper that feels premium, which matches the 350gsm board and A4 Portrait size. Hand it over in Glued Folders with a price list or floor plans tucked inside the pocket.

What pairs well with booklets at an exhibition?

A pull-up banner behind the stand and a stack of booklets on the table is a classic pairing: the banner carries the headline, the booklet carries the detail. See Roller Banners, or our exhibition graphics page for complete stand work.
