Quick answers

What are waterproof posters made from?

You choose between two materials: 400gsm PVC Free, which is the standard specification, and 440gsm PVC. Both are heavyweight sheets intended for outdoor use rather than paper. If you also want paper options for framed posters, see Outdoor Posters, which add Blueback and satin paper.

What sizes do waterproof posters come in?

Five sizes are available: A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0. A4 and A3 suit café windows and noticeboards, while A1 and A0 give a big message on fences and site hoardings. For something bigger than A0, ask through Get a Quote.

How much are waterproof posters?

Prices start at £24.02 for one poster on the cheapest combination of size and material. Ten posters come to £39.98 on the same basis. Larger sizes and the other material change the figure, and the configurator shows the live price as you choose. See the whole posters and art prints range for alternatives.

How long do waterproof posters take?

The typical turnaround is around 3 working days. That is a guide rather than a firm date, and delivery is extra time unless you collect in Manchester. If you are working to an event or opening date, contact us before ordering so the timing can be checked.

How many waterproof posters can I order?

From 1 up to 99 in the dropdown, counting one at a time to 20 and then 30, 40, 50 and so on. That covers one poster for a stall through to a full site of notices. For larger runs, request a price through our quote form.

Can you design the poster for me?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) at the artwork step and a designer will put the layout together from your content. If your design is ready to go, the print-ready upload is free. For permanent outdoor branding as well, our outdoor vinyl printing team can help.

Can I collect waterproof posters in Manchester?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. UK delivery is offered too, with the cost shown at checkout before payment. The areas we cover page lists the Greater Manchester towns we serve most.

Asked by buyers 22

What is the difference between 400gsm PVC Free and 440gsm PVC?

The main differences are weight and composition. 440gsm PVC is slightly heavier, while 400gsm PVC Free is the standard specification for this product and avoids PVC in the material. Choose PVC Free if that matters to your organisation; otherwise either suits outdoor use. Ask us if you want help deciding.

Why choose a waterproof poster over a paper one?

Paper posters outdoors soon suffer from rain, while these are made to cope with the British weather. That means fewer replacements on fences, stalls and notice boards. If the poster goes behind glass in a sealed frame, paper is fine; see Outdoor Posters for those.

Are waterproof posters stiff enough to stand up?

They are 400gsm and 440gsm sheets, not boards, so plan to fix them to a fence, wall or frame. For a free-standing display, choose a board product such as our foam board printing or a pavement A-board instead.

What size works for a site notice board?

A2 and A1 are popular for site boards, being big enough to read from the pavement. A3 suits smaller notices such as opening hours or contact details. If you need several notice sizes, add each one as a separate cart line.

Can I get a waterproof poster at a custom size?

The configurator offers A4 to A0. For a non-standard size, such as a long strip for a fence panel, send your measurements through Get a Quote. A printed banner is often a better fit for long, narrow spaces; compare PVC Banners too.

Is A4 too small for an outdoor poster?

Not for close-up use. An A4 waterproof poster works on a gate, a door, a bin store or a stall where people stand right next to it. For anything read from across a street or car park, go up to A2 or larger.

Does the price per poster drop with quantity?

Yes. The cost per poster falls as you add more, and on the cheapest combination 99 posters come to £212.14. That works out far less per sheet than buying singles. Check a couple of nearby quantities in the dropdown, as the steps above 20 jump in tens.

Does PVC Free cost more than PVC?

The two materials have their own prices for each size and quantity. Set your size and quantity in the configurator, then switch between 400gsm PVC Free and 440gsm PVC to see the live difference. Choose on whichever matters more to you, budget or material.

What artwork should I send for a waterproof poster?

A print-ready PDF at the finished size is the safest choice. Use high-resolution images and leave a little space around the edges if you plan to punch holes or use cable ties. For help preparing your file, get in touch before you upload.

How should an outdoor notice be laid out?

Put the key message at the top in large type, then the details people need, such as dates, times or a phone number. Keep it short. Use strong contrast so it reads in poor light. The design service can lay it out for you if you send the wording.

Can I add my logo and a QR code?

Yes, include both in your artwork. Make the QR code large enough to scan from a step or two away and test it before you order. If you want the QR code to land on a proper page, our landing page design service can build one.

How do I buy waterproof posters online?

Choose your size, material and quantity, and the price updates live. Select your artwork option, add to cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted. Browse the online print shop to add other items.

Can I reorder the same poster later?

Yes. Keep your artwork file and place a new order with the same size and material whenever you need more. Seasonal notices, such as winter opening hours, are often reordered each year. Our team can be reached on 0161 315 1151 or through the about page.

Can posters be delivered directly to a site?

Yes, enter the site address at checkout and UK delivery is shown with its cost before you pay. Make sure someone is on site to receive the parcel. Local customers can collect from our Manchester studio instead.

Where are you based?

Our main studio is at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB, and we have a second studio at 20 Burnley Road, Brierfield BB9 5HS. Message us on WhatsApp on 07737 902425 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. See where we work across the region.

Who buys waterproof posters?

Cafés with pavement specials, market traders, builders putting up site notices, community groups with outdoor boards and event organisers. Anyone who needs a poster outside without it turning to pulp in the rain. For permanent outdoor signs, see our sign makers.

Are waterproof posters good for construction sites?

Yes, for site rules, contractor details, planning notices and coming-soon messages. Cable-tie them to Heras fencing or fix them to hoardings. For mandatory safety wording, use proper safety signage from our safety signs service.

Can I use them on a market stall?

Yes. A waterproof A1 or A2 poster tied to the front of a stall can be taken down at the end of the day and put back up next week. Use A4 or A3 posters as price boards or specials. A roller banner beside the stall adds height; see Roller Banners.

Do waterproof posters work for outdoor events?

They suit festivals, fun runs, fairs and outdoor weddings, for signs such as parking, toilets, entrances and timings. Order a matching set so the event looks organised. For a branded stage or photo wall, see event backdrop printing.

Can a café use waterproof posters outside?

Yes, to show specials, opening times or a new menu on an outside wall or barrier. A2 is a good size for a wall, A3 for a door. If you want a menu board inside to match, our menu printing service can use the same design.

Can I use a waterproof poster on a car or van?

A poster is not made to be fixed to a moving vehicle. For removable vehicle branding, use a car magnet, or for something permanent, vinyl graphics. Our magnetic vehicle signs are the quickest route.

How should I fix a waterproof poster outside?

Cable ties, screws with washers, or a poster frame all work, depending on the surface. Fix every corner so wind cannot catch an edge. If you plan to punch holes, keep text and logos well away from the corners in your artwork.
