Quick answers

What sizes can I order NCR pads in?

Four sizes sit in the Size dropdown: A4, A5, A6 and DL. A4 gives the most room for a job sheet with several lines of work and parts, A5 suits a standard invoice or quote, and A6 or DL keep a receipt pad compact. Any other format can be priced through Get a Quote.

How much do NCR pads cost?

A single pad starts at £69.67 on the cheapest mix of size, parts and print, and 10 pads start at £149.28. Those are the lowest combinations, so treat them as a floor. The configurator shows the live price as soon as you change any dropdown, and the wider business stationery range is priced the same way.

How many parts can each NCR form have?

Choose 2 Part NCR, 3 Part NCR or 4 Part NCR in the Paper Type dropdown. Two parts give you one copy to hand over and one to keep, while 3 and 4 parts add copies for the office, accounts or a site file. If you would rather have loose forms than a glued pad, see Carbonless (NCR) Sets.

How long do NCR pads take to produce?

Allow around 8 working days for production. That is a typical figure, not a fixed date, and delivery time sits on top unless you collect. If you are about to run out of job sheets and need to plan a reorder around a start date, speak to the team before you place the order.

Can I pick the colour of each copy?

Yes, apart from the top sheet, which is fixed as White. The 2nd, 3rd and bottom copies each have their own dropdown with Green, Yellow, Pink, Blue and White, so you can colour-code who keeps which part. Our receipt books Manchester page has more ideas for colour-coded paperwork.

Are the forms in NCR pads numbered?

No. Numbering is set to None on this product and cannot be switched on from the dropdowns. Many trades simply write a job or invoice number by hand. If your accounts need pre-printed sequential numbers, describe the form on the quote request and the team will price a numbered version.

Can I collect my NCR pads in Manchester?

Yes. Pads can be collected from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB once they are ready. UK delivery is the alternative, with the cost worked out at checkout before you pay. Towns and districts we regularly serve are listed on the areas we cover page.

Asked by buyers 22

What does carbonless actually mean?

NCR stands for no carbon required. The sheets are treated so that pressure from a pen on the top copy marks the sheets underneath, with no loose carbon paper between them. You write once and every part of the form carries the same details. The rest of our stationery category covers the paperwork that sits alongside it.

Is 2 Part NCR enough for invoices?

For most sole traders it is. The customer takes the top copy and the coloured copy stays in the pad as your record. Go to 3 Part NCR if a bookkeeper or head office also wants a copy, and 4 Part NCR if a fourth person signs off the job. Our invoice books Manchester page covers similar layouts.

Why is there a None option for the 2nd and 3rd copy colours?

Those dropdowns have to match the number of parts you picked. On a 2 Part NCR pad there is no third sheet, so the 3rd copy colour should be None. The bottom copy dropdown never offers None, because every pad finishes with a coloured or white base sheet. Check all three colour settings before you add the order to your cart.

Can I order NCR pads with all white copies?

Yes. White appears in the 2nd copy, 3rd copy and bottom copy dropdowns, and the top sheet is always White. All-white pads look plain and uniform, while coloured copies make it easier to see at a glance which sheet goes to whom. For forms that travel with goods, see our delivery notes in Manchester page.

Which size works best for a job sheet?

A4 is the usual pick, because a job sheet tends to need space for the address, a description of the work, materials, times and a signature. A5 works if the form is short and you want the pad to fit in a van door pocket or toolbag. Purchase forms follow the same logic, as our purchase order pads page explains.

Is DL a good size for a receipt pad?

It can be. DL is tall and narrow, which suits a receipt that lists items down the page with a total at the bottom. A6 is the smallest option here and suits a quick cash receipt with only a few lines. For pre-made receipt formats, look at our receipt books in Manchester page.

What are the drilling options for?

Drilling punches holes so the copies you tear out can go straight into a binder. The dropdown offers 2 hole, 4 hole or None. Pick the hole count that matches the ring binder or lever arch file in your office, or choose None if the copies are filed in folders, trays or envelopes instead.

Which edge of the pad is glued?

Pads are bound along the short edge, and that setting is fixed on this page. The sheets tear away from the glued end, so your form layout should run top to bottom with the header at the bound end. If you need a long-edge binding for a landscape form, send the details through Get a Quote.

What does Full Colour Face Black only reverse Double Sided mean?

Your front is printed in full colour, which keeps your logo in its proper colours, and the back is printed in black only. Trades often use the reverse for terms and conditions or a checklist. If the back can stay blank, Full Colour Single Sided is in the same dropdown, and a matching Letterheads order keeps your branding consistent.

How many NCR pads can I order in one go?

The Quantity dropdown starts at 1 pad and steps through 2, 5, 10 and 15, then in tens up to 100, and on to 200, 300, 400, 500, 750 and 1000. Each quantity is one design. If you run several branches and need more than 1000 pads, the team can price that separately.

What do 100 NCR pads cost?

On the cheapest combination of options, 100 pads start at £406.39. A run of 50 pads starts at £311.02. Your chosen size, parts, print sides, drilling and copy colours set the real figure, which the configurator updates live. You can price other items for the same order through the online print shop.

How many sets are in each pad?

The number of sets per pad is not listed on the product page, so we would rather confirm it than guess. Get in touch with your size and part count and the team will tell you how many forms each pad holds. You can reach us through the contact page, by phone on 0161 315 1151 or on WhatsApp at 07737 902425.

What should my NCR pad artwork include?

Put your logo, business name, address, phone number and any registration details in the header, then lay out the boxes and lines people will fill in. Leave enough writing space in each box, because handwriting needs more room than typed text. Supply it as a print-ready PDF at the size you selected.

Can you lay out the form for me?

Yes. Pick the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) at the artwork step and send us your logo, details and a rough sketch or an old form you want copied. It saves you building the boxes and lines yourself. Our corporate stationery page shows how the same branding carries across the rest of your paperwork.

Who can help if my NCR file is not set up right?

Contact the team before you order and describe what you have, whether that is a Word document, a photo of an old form or a design file. A print-ready PDF at the finished size is the safest format. Email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk or use the contact form and someone will advise on the best route.

What are the steps to order NCR pads?

Set the size, paper type, sides printed, drilling and the three copy colours, then the quantity. The total moves with each change. Choose your artwork option, add the pads to your cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted. More forms and office print sit in the business stationery section.

Can NCR pads be sent outside Greater Manchester?

Yes. Delivery covers the whole UK, and the cost appears at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises later. If you are local, collecting from the Bury New Road studio is also an option. A list of nearby areas we cover is on the areas we cover page.

Who prints the NCR pads?

They are produced by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a Manchester print, signs and web company trading since 2003. Over that time we have helped over 20,000 UK businesses with their print and branding. You can learn more about Web Print Signs, including the signage and website work we take on.

Which businesses use NCR pads the most?

Plumbers, electricians, heating engineers, cleaners and other mobile trades rely on them for job sheets, call-out receipts and simple contracts written on site. Shops and workshops use them for repair tickets and collection slips. If you would prefer a bound book format, compare Carbonless (NCR) Books.

Can an NCR pad work as a quotation pad?

Yes. Lay the form out with the customer details, a description of the work, the price and a signature line, and the customer can keep the top copy as their written quote. A 2 Part NCR pad is usually plenty for this. See our quotation pads page for more layout pointers.

What else do trades order with their NCR pads?

Printed envelopes for posting invoice copies and compliment slips for parcels and paperwork are common add-ons. Ordering at the same time makes it easier to keep the logo and colours matching. Browse Envelopes and Compliment Slips to add them before checkout.

Do NCR pads make sense for a van or vehicle fleet?

They do. A pad in each van means every driver or engineer issues the same branded paperwork, and the coloured copies come back to the office for filing. Pair the pads with van branding so your name is visible on the road too, through our van graphics Manchester service.
