Quick answers

What sizes do the printed paper bags come in?

Three sizes are listed: Small (H 225 x W 190 x D 80mm), Medium (H 300 x W 220 x D 100mm) and Large (H 340 x W 260 x D 140mm). Measure the largest item you sell and allow some space at the top. If none of the three fits your products, send the dimensions through Get a Quote.

Should I choose White Kraft or Brown Kraft paper?

White Kraft is the standard specification and gives a clean white base for your design. Brown Kraft keeps the natural brown paper look, which many shops prefer for a more rustic feel. Pick whichever suits your brand colours, since the print sits on top of that base. Our custom printed bags Manchester page has more on branded bags.

How much do printed paper bags cost?

Prices start at £46.42 for 25 bags on the cheapest combination of size, paper, sides and print area. A run of 100 starts at £185.64. Your own choices set the final figure, and the configurator updates the live price as you change each option. Other branded packaging is priced in the Packaging & Bags category.

What does the Print Area option control?

Print Area sets how much of the bag your design covers, with three settings: Small, Large and All Over. Small suits a neat logo, Large gives a bigger branded panel, and All Over is for a design that runs across the whole face. If you're unsure which matches your artwork, ask the team before ordering.

How long do printed paper bags take?

Production is typically around 9 working days. That is a guide rather than a fixed date, and delivery time comes on top unless you collect. If the bags are for a shop opening or a fixed event, order with a margin or check the timing on the contact page before you buy.

Can paper bags be printed on both sides?

Yes. Double Sided is the standard setting and prints both main faces, so the brand shows whichever way the bag is carried. Single Sided prints one face only, which can lower the cost for plainer bags. The live price shows the difference as soon as you switch. Compare with Takeaway Paper Bags if you mainly pack food orders.

Can I collect paper bags in Manchester or have them delivered?

Both. Collection is from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB, and UK delivery is available with the cost shown at checkout. Big runs take up space, so if you are collecting thousands of bags, bring a suitable vehicle. See the towns we regularly serve on our areas we cover page.

Asked by buyers 21

Which paper makes printed colours look brightest?

White Kraft generally shows colours more faithfully, because the ink sits on a white base. On Brown Kraft, colours take on some of the paper's warmth and pale shades can fade into the background. If your logo uses light or pastel tones, White Kraft is usually the safer choice. Both options are in the Paper Type dropdown.

What kind of handles do the paper bags have?

The product page doesn't specify a handle type, and there's no handle dropdown in the configurator. If handle style matters for your shop, for example because customers carry heavy items, check with the team through Contact Web Print Signs before ordering so you know exactly what will arrive.

Is there a gloss or matt coating on the bags?

No coating or lamination option appears for this product; the choices are paper type, size, sides printed, print area and quantity. If a laminated finish is important for your packaging, consider pairing the bags with Promotional Boxes, which offer Gloss, Soft Touch and Matte outer lamination.

Which bag size suits a clothing boutique?

Folded tops and accessories usually fit the Medium bag at H 300 x W 220 x D 100mm, while knitwear, jeans or shoe boxes need the Large at H 340 x W 260 x D 140mm. Many boutiques stock two sizes. For matching garment branding, see our hang tag printing service.

What fits in the Small bag?

The Small size measures H 225 x W 190 x D 80mm, which suits jewellery boxes, cosmetics, candles, cards and similar compact purchases. It keeps a light purchase looking presented rather than lost in a big bag. For gifts that need a box inside, Pillow Boxes are worth comparing alongside this size.

Does an All Over print area cost more than Small?

The print area is part of the price, so changing it can move the total. The simplest way to check is to set your size, paper and quantity, then switch between Small, Large and All Over and watch the live price update. That shows you the exact difference for your order before anything goes in the cart.

Can I get a bag size that isn't listed?

The configurator only offers Small, Medium and Large. For a different height, width or depth, send your measurements, paper preference and quantity through Get a Quote. Include what the bag will hold, as that helps the team work out a suitable specification.

What is the smallest order for printed paper bags?

The lowest quantity is 25 bags, which suits a market trader, a pop-up shop or a trial before committing to a big run. From there the dropdown climbs in steps through 50, 75, 100 and on up. Starting low lets you test the size and print area with real customers before ordering in bulk.

How many paper bags can I order at once?

The Quantity dropdown goes up to 50000, with steps such as 1000, 5000, 10000, 20000 and 30000 along the way. That covers anything from one shop's monthly use to a chain's stock. For a figure between the steps, ask for a price through the quote page with your exact number.

What do 1,000 printed paper bags cost?

On the cheapest combination of options, 1000 bags start at £1,856.38, and 10000 start at £9,739.42, so the price per bag drops sharply on bigger runs. Your size, paper, sides and print area set the real figure. If you are buying for a shop as well, the point of sale printing page covers counter displays.

Does Single Sided printing save money?

It can, as Double Sided is the standard setting and printing one face is a simpler job. Switch the Sides Printed dropdown and the live price shows the difference for your exact size and quantity. Weigh the saving against visibility, since a single printed face can end up facing inwards when the bag is carried.

How should I set up artwork for a paper bag?

Supply a print-ready PDF at the finished size, with the design sized to suit the Print Area you chose. Keep logos and text away from folds, gussets and the top edge. If you would rather not set it up yourself, the design service at the artwork step can prepare it for you.

Can you design my paper bag?

Yes. Select the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) when you choose your artwork option, and send your logo, colours and any wording. It is a good route if you only have a logo file. To keep the look consistent across your stationery, see our business cards Manchester page.

Are there design tips for Brown Kraft bags?

Use strong, dark colours such as black, navy or deep green, which stand out on brown paper. Avoid pale tones and fine thin lines, as they can get lost against the natural base. A bold logo on Brown Kraft gives a crafted, natural look. If your branding is light, White Kraft is usually better.

What are the steps to order printed paper bags?

Pick the Size, Paper Type, Sides Printed, Print Area and Quantity; the price updates with each choice. Then choose your artwork route, add the bags to the cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay accepted. You can browse other items in the print shop before paying.

Can I order two bag sizes in one go?

Yes. Configure the first size, add it to the cart, then change the Size dropdown and add the second with its own quantity. Both can use the same artwork if the layout fits each bag. Everything is paid for together at checkout, which keeps ordering for a shop with mixed products straightforward.

Who prints these paper bags?

WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED in Manchester, a print, signs and web company trading since 2003 that has helped over 20,000 UK businesses. You can reach us on 0161 315 1151, by WhatsApp on 07737 902425 or at hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Read more about Web Print Signs.

Are printed paper bags useful for market stalls?

Yes. Traders use them to give each sale a branded finish, and the low starting quantity of 25 suits a stall testing a new look. The Small and Medium sizes cover most market goods. For a stall banner to match, browse the banners category.

Can I use printed paper bags at a conference or trade show?

Yes. Branded bags carry leaflets, samples and freebies around the hall, so your logo travels with every visitor. The Large bag holds brochures and folders well. If you are planning the stand itself, see our exhibition graphics page for displays and backdrops.

Do cafes and bakeries use printed paper bags?

Many do, for cakes, bread, coffee beans and gift items to take away. A logo on the bag reminds customers where they bought it. For hot food and larger takeaway orders, look at Takeaway Paper Bags, which come in two sizes for food service.

What can I put inside the bag to finish it off?

A branded sticker to seal tissue, a thank-you card or a printed swing tag all help. Swing Tags work well for boutiques, and Sticker Sheets can carry your logo for sealing wrapped items. Ordering together keeps the colours consistent.
