Quick answers

What heights do teardrop flags come in?

The Size dropdown offers four flag heights: 2.1m, 2.8m, 3.5m and 4.6m. There is also a Base Only (no flag) setting if you just need a stand. Every flag on this page is the teardrop shape. If you prefer a taller, straighter profile, compare them with Feather Flags before deciding.

How much does a teardrop flag cost?

Prices start at £47.66 for 1, using the cheapest combination of size, print and base. Ten start at £205.90. The height, print setting and base you choose all change the total, and the configurator shows the live figure before you check out. Other display items to price alongside are in the roller banners and display category.

Which base should I choose for my teardrop flag?

Match the base to the ground. Ground spikes push into grass or soft earth, water bases and the Concrete Base sit on hard surfaces, and the Drive on Car Base is held down by a parked vehicle's wheel. Small Square Base and Large Cross Base are also listed. If you are unsure about your site, ask the team which base suits it.

Do I need single or double sided printing?

Single Sided Print is the standard specification and suits flags viewed mainly from one direction, such as against a wall. Double Sided Print carries the design on both faces, so it reads properly from either side, which helps at a roadside or in an open field. See our trade show display printing page for indoor event ideas too.

Can I buy a base without a flag?

Yes. Set the Size dropdown to Base Only (no flag), choose None in Sides Printed, then pick the base you want. This is useful for replacing a lost base or adding a second fixing for a different surface. Browse the print shop if you want other items in the same order.

How long does a teardrop flag take to produce?

Production usually takes around 5 working days. It is a typical figure, not a fixed date, so allow extra time for delivery unless you are collecting from Manchester. If the flags are for an opening, match day or show, plan back from that date. Our exhibition graphics page covers other event pieces.

Can I collect teardrop flags rather than have them delivered?

Yes, collection is from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you would rather have them sent, UK delivery is available with the cost shown at checkout. Prestwich, Eccles, Middleton and the other places we regularly serve are on the areas we cover page.

Asked by buyers 22

Which teardrop flag height suits a shop front?

On a pavement or small forecourt, 2.1m or 2.8m sits comfortably beside a doorway without towering over passers-by. 3.5m and 4.6m suit open forecourts, car parks and sports grounds where the flag needs to be seen from further away. For a pavement message at eye level, pair it with Forecourt Pavement Stands.

Is 4.6m the tallest teardrop flag?

Yes, 4.6m is the tallest height in the Size dropdown. If you need a flag taller than that, or a size between the listed heights, send your requirements through Get a Quote with the quantity and the surface it will stand on.

Can I order the flag without a base?

Yes. Choose your height, then set the Base dropdown to None. That suits anyone replacing a worn flag on a base they already own, or who has a fixing at the site. The flag still carries your choice of Single Sided Print or Double Sided Print.

What is the difference between the Standard and Budget Ground Spike?

Both are spikes that push into grass or soft ground, and both appear in the Base dropdown with their own price. The page does not set out the build differences between them, so compare the live price for each. For frequent outdoor use on playing fields or show grounds, it is worth choosing with care.

When should I use a water base?

Water bases are for hard surfaces such as paving, tarmac or a shop floor, where a spike cannot go in. You fill them with water on site to add weight. The Small Water Base suits compact spots, while the Large Water Base adds more weight for open, exposed positions. Our A board signs page covers other pavement options.

How does the Drive on Car Base work?

It has a plate that sits under a car wheel, so the parked vehicle holds the flag in place. That suits car dealership forecourts and at outdoor shows where cars are on display. For branding the vehicles themselves, see our car graphics Manchester service.

Which base works for hard ground that gets windy?

The Concrete Base, the Large Water Base and the Large Cross Base are the options to look at for hard surfaces, along with the Small Square Base for tighter spaces. The page does not give their weights, so for an exposed site talk to us about which one to pick before ordering.

Who uses teardrop flags?

Car dealerships, retail parks, sports clubs and event organisers use them to grab attention and point visitors in the right direction. They suit anywhere you need a tall, moving sign that can be put up and taken down. Add an A-Frame Sign nearby to carry offers or opening times at eye level.

Do teardrop flags work for sports clubs?

Yes. Clubs place them along the touchline, by the entrance or beside the clubhouse to show sponsors and the club name. A ground spike suits grass pitches. For a long sponsor board along railings, PVC Banners add a wider printed area alongside the flags.

Can teardrop flags be used indoors?

Yes. Choose a base that sits on a hard floor, such as the Small Square Base or Large Cross Base, and the flag can stand in a showroom, foyer or exhibition hall. It adds height to a stand without taking much floor space. Our exhibition graphics Manchester service covers the rest of the stand.

How do teardrop flags help a shop opening?

Flags at the kerb tell people something new is happening and draw them towards the door. Put two either side of the entrance for a balanced look. For a permanent sign above the shop once the opening is over, our shop signs Manchester team can quote for fascia work.

How many teardrop flags can I order?

Pick any number from 1 to 10 in the Quantity dropdown, or choose 20, 30, 40, 50, 75 or 99. All flags on one line share the same height, print, base and artwork. For 100 or more, or a figure between the steps, ask for a price through our quote form.

What do 20 teardrop flags cost?

On the cheapest combination of options, 20 teardrop flags start at £387.86. The height, print setting and base you choose move that figure up or down, so treat it as a starting point. The configurator shows the live price for your exact selection before you add the flags to your cart.

Does the base I pick change the price?

Yes. Each of the nine base settings, from None to the Concrete Base, is priced differently, and the total updates as soon as you change it. Set your height and print first, then run through the bases to compare. That way you only pay for the fixing your site actually needs.

How do I set up artwork for a teardrop shape?

Supply a print-ready PDF at the finished size, keeping your logo and main words inside the wider middle of the teardrop where they are easy to read. Avoid placing small text near the narrow top or the edges. If you want help with the shape before you upload, get in touch with the team.

What does the flag design service cost?

Adding the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step costs +£36.00. A designer fits your logo and message to the teardrop shape, which helps if you have no design software. Supplying your own print-ready artwork costs nothing extra. For larger event graphics, our event backdrop printing page has more.

Can I have different designs on several flags?

Yes. Put each design on its own cart line, with its own height, base and quantity. Identical flags can share one line. This works well for sponsors who each want their own flag. If some designs need a straighter shape, set them up on the Feather Flags page instead.

What are the steps to order teardrop flags?

Choose the Size, Sides Printed, Base and Quantity, and watch the total change with each choice. Then select your artwork option, add the flags to your cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay are accepted. Add other display items from the display category first if needed.

Can I order a replacement flag and keep my old base?

Yes. Select the same height as before, choose your print setting, and set Base to None so you only pay for the flag. Upload the new artwork if the design has changed. It is a simple way to refresh worn or out-of-date flags without buying new fixings.

Who makes these teardrop flags?

Your flags are printed to order in Manchester by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, which has been trading since 2003 across print, signs and websites. You can reach the team on 0161 315 1151 or WhatsApp 07737 902425. Learn more about Web Print Signs.

Can teardrop flags be sent anywhere in the UK?

Yes. UK-wide delivery is available, and the cost for your order appears at checkout before payment. Customers in and around Manchester can collect instead. Ashton-under-Lyne and other towns we serve regularly are listed under areas we cover.

When should I order flags for an outdoor event?

Allow around 5 working days for production, then add time for delivery or a trip to collect. Ordering with a few days in hand gives room for any artwork tweaks. If you are dressing the whole event, look at our event backdrop printing service for stage and photo walls.
