Quick answers

What sizes are the totem displays?

Three sizes are listed, given as width, height and depth: 330mm w x 1610 h x 300mm d, 500mm w x 1850mm h x 500mm d, and 600mm w x 2000mm h x 350mm d. The tallest stands 2000mm high. If none of those fit your space, send the measurements you need through Get a Quote.

How much does a totem display cost?

A single totem starts at £118.25 on the cheapest combination of size, finish, model and substrate. Five totems start at £275.40. Every dropdown you change updates the total, and the configurator shows the live price before you add anything to the cart. You can compare other stands in the roller banners and display category.

What is the difference between the Sidney, Totem 3 Small Cardboard and Tribeca models?

These are the three totem models in the Model dropdown, and each one is priced separately. The page names them but does not describe how their construction differs, or which model matches each size. If you would like that explained before you choose, ask the team and say where the totem will stand.

Which substrate should I choose for a totem?

Doublewall E+E Flute 2.3mm is the standard specification and is the thicker of the two cardboard boards. Cardboard E Flute 1.4mm is the thinner alternative. If you want a totem made from plastic rather than card, look at the Custom Printed Plastic Totem instead.

Should I add gloss or matt lamination?

The Finish dropdown offers None, Gloss lamination and Matt lamination. Gloss gives the print a shiny surface, while matt gives a flatter, non-shiny look. None leaves the print unlaminated. Our point of sale printing page covers other in-store display print.

How long will a totem display take?

Typical production time is around 4 working days. That is a guide rather than a promise, and you need to add delivery time unless you collect from Manchester. If the totems are for a launch or exhibition on a fixed date, plan back from that day. See our exhibition graphics page for other stand pieces.

Can I collect my totem displays?

Yes. Orders can be collected from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you need them sent, UK delivery is available and the cost is shown at checkout before you pay. Altrincham, Stretford and the other places we regularly serve are listed on our areas we cover page.

Asked by buyers 22

Which totem size suits a shop floor or reception?

The 330mm w x 1610 h x 300mm d size is the slimmest and shortest, so it suits a tight spot by a till or desk. The 600mm w x 2000mm h x 350mm d size gives the largest printed face for an entrance or foyer. If you want a flat panel instead of a three-dimensional totem, compare Roller Banners.

How much floor space does a totem take up?

Check the depth figure in each size. The three options run from 300mm deep up to 500mm deep, and from 330mm to 600mm wide, so each one has a compact footprint. Measure the space before you choose. For stands at shows, our trade show display printing page has layout ideas.

Can I order different totem models in one order?

Yes. Configure the first model with its size, finish and substrate, add it to the cart, then return and set up the next one as a separate line. Each line keeps its own artwork and quantity. That way you can mix tall entrance totems with slimmer ones for aisles or counters in a single checkout.

Is a cardboard totem strong enough for a busy space?

Both substrates are fluted cardboard, and Doublewall E+E Flute 2.3mm is the thicker standard board. The page does not give load or lifespan figures, so for a long-term display in a very busy area it may be worth a plastic version. Compare the plastic totem before you decide.

When would I choose Cardboard E Flute 1.4mm?

It is the thinner of the two substrates, so it suits buyers who want a lighter board for a short campaign or a single event. Switch the Substrate dropdown between the two options to see how the live price changes. For a heavier board, keep the standard Doublewall E+E Flute 2.3mm setting.

Can totem displays go outdoors?

The page presents them for shops, exhibitions, lobbies and information points, and does not describe them as outdoor products. As they are made from cardboard, keep them inside. For a pavement sign that stands outside the door, look at A-Frame Signs instead.

Is lamination worth adding to a totem?

Lamination changes the surface of the print, with Gloss lamination for a shiny look and Matt lamination for a softer one. Choose None if you prefer the plain printed board. Check the live price with and without it. If you are unsure which finish suits your lighting, speak to the team.

How do retailers use totem displays?

Retailers stand them near entrances, aisles and tills to promote offers, new ranges and seasonal campaigns. Because they are printed on every face, shoppers see the message from several directions. For the shop window itself, our shop window graphics service adds matching vinyl.

Can totems be used for wayfinding at an event?

Yes. Exhibition organisers place them at junctions and entrances to point visitors towards halls, rooms and stands. A row of matching totems with arrows and names is easy to follow. For permanent wayfinding in a building, our directional signs Manchester service covers fixed signage.

Are totem displays suitable for schools and offices?

Yes. Corporate lobbies, colleges and public buildings use them as information points for welcome messages, maps, event details and notices. They stand on their own, so they can be moved as needed. For larger display walls in the same space, see the exhibition graphics Manchester service.

What goes well with a totem at a product launch?

A totem draws attention from across the room, and a brochure holder next to it gives visitors something to take away. Customisable Cardboard Brochure Stands are also made from card, so they look consistent beside a cardboard totem. Use the same artwork style on both.

What quantities can I order?

The Quantity dropdown starts at 1, then jumps to 5, 10 and every ten up to 100, followed by 120, 140, 150, 160, 180 and 200. Every totem on one line shares the same size, model, finish and design. For more than 200, or a number between the steps, use our quote form.

What do 50 totem displays cost?

On the cheapest combination of options, 50 totems start at £1,759.37. For a bigger rollout, 100 totems start at £3,010.82. Your choice of size, model, finish and substrate decides the real figure, and the configurator always shows the live price for your selection before checkout.

Does lamination change the price of a totem?

The total updates whenever you change the Finish dropdown, so the quickest check is to set your size, model and substrate first, then switch between None, Gloss lamination and Matt lamination. You will see the difference on screen before you commit. Other display items to budget for are in the display range.

How should I set up artwork for a totem?

A print-ready PDF at the finished size is the safest starting point. A totem has more than one face, so you will need the layout for each side before you design. Ask for the artwork dimensions for your chosen model and size through the contact page before preparing the file.

How much is the design service for a totem?

The Professional artwork and design service adds +£36.00 at the artwork step. A designer arranges your logo, text and images across the totem faces, which saves you working out the layout yourself. Supplying your own print-ready file costs nothing extra. Matching handouts can be ordered through our flyer printing service.

Can every totem in an order carry the same design?

Yes. Set the quantity to the number of identical totems you need and upload one artwork file, and the same design is printed on each. For different designs, such as one per store or one per event zone, add each as a separate cart line. More display options are in the print shop.

How do I order totem displays online?

Choose the Size, Finish, Model, Substrate and Quantity, and watch the price update as you go. Then pick your artwork route, add the totems to your cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe, which takes Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Other items can join the same basket from the online print shop.

Who produces the totem displays?

They are made to order in Manchester by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a print, signs and web company that has been trading since 2003 and has helped over 20,000 UK businesses. Call 0161 315 1151 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk with any question. The About Web Print Signs page tells the company story.

I need totems for several branches. How should I order?

If every branch gets the same design, set the full quantity on one line. If the designs differ, add a line per design. Delivery to several addresses is not set up in the online checkout, so for a multi-site rollout send the details through Get a Quote and the team will price it.

Do you deliver totem displays nationwide?

Yes, totems can be delivered anywhere in the UK, and the cost is calculated at checkout so you see it before you pay. Customers in Greater Manchester can also collect from the Bury New Road studio. Prestwich, Eccles and other areas we serve are listed on the areas we cover page.

How soon should I order totems for an exhibition?

Allow around 4 working days for production, then add delivery or collection time, and leave a few spare days for any artwork changes. Ordering once your stand plan is fixed avoids reprints. Our trade show display page lists other items to order in the same window.
