Quick answers

What makes a triplex business card different?

Thickness. Triplex cards are printed on an 810gsm stock, an extra-thick card chosen when you want your details to feel substantial in someone's hand. The standard specification is 810gsm Triplex Uncoated, Single Sided. For more ways to give a card a premium feel, see luxury business cards in Manchester.

Which triplex papers are available?

Two: 810gsm Triplex Uncoated and 810gsm Triplex Kraft. Both are the same 810gsm weight, so the choice is about appearance rather than thickness. Compare them with the other stocks on offer across the business cards category.

How much do triplex business cards cost?

The lowest price is £65.83 for 50 cards, based on the cheapest mix of size, paper, sides and lamination. The configurator recalculates the live price each time you change an option, so you see the real figure before checkout. For a quantity that isn't listed, request one through Get a Quote.

What is the turnaround on triplex cards?

Expect around 5 working days for production. That is the typical time, not a fixed date, and delivery comes on top unless you collect. If the cards are for a pitch or event on a set day, speak to the team before ordering.

What sizes can triplex cards be printed in?

The Size dropdown offers 85mm x 55mm and 55mm x 55mm. The first is the usual business card shape, the second a compact square. If you want the square with a wider choice of stocks, including magnetic and silk, see Square Business Cards.

Can triplex business cards be laminated?

Yes. Choose Both Sides (Soft Touch), Both Sides (Matt), Both Sides (Gloss) or None. Lamination covers both faces when selected. If you would rather have a lighter laminated card for everyday use, Standard Business Cards offer the same three finishes on silk board.

Can I collect triplex cards in person?

Yes, from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. UK delivery is the alternative, and its cost appears at checkout before you pay. The areas we cover page shows the towns and services the Manchester studio looks after.

Asked by buyers 22

How does 810gsm compare with an ordinary business card?

It is a much heavier stock. For comparison, the standard specification on Standard Business Cards is 450gsm Art Board Silk Finish, so triplex is getting on for twice that weight. That extra weight is the whole point of the product.

Should I choose Triplex Uncoated or Triplex Kraft?

Triplex Uncoated is the standard specification and the usual pick for a clean, classic card. Triplex Kraft suits brands that already use Kraft packaging or want their card to match a more natural look. If you can't decide, ask the team which suits your artwork.

Will lamination hide the uncoated surface of triplex?

Lamination adds a Soft Touch, Matt or Gloss layer on both faces, so the card no longer shows the bare paper surface. Choose None if the uncoated finish is what drew you to triplex in the first place. Either way the 810gsm stock underneath stays the same.

Is foil or spot UV available on triplex cards?

Not on this product, where the options are size, paper, sides, lamination and quantity. For a metallic finish, see Metallic Foil Business Cards, and for spot UV highlights see Spot UV Business Cards.

Do triplex cards come printed on one side or both?

The standard specification is Single Sided, but you can switch to Double Sided in the Sides Printed dropdown. A printed back is a good home for your website address or a QR code. If your website needs work before it goes on a premium card, see web design in Manchester.

Can I order triplex cards in a custom size?

Only 85mm x 55mm and 55mm x 55mm are listed. For a larger card, a folded design or another shape on a heavy stock, send your dimensions and quantity through the quote form and the team will price it.

How does a square triplex card differ from Square Business Cards?

Both can give you a 55mm x 55mm card on 810gsm Triplex Uncoated. The Square Business Cards page adds magnetic, silk and recycled stocks and one-sided lamination, while this page lets you switch between square and 85mm x 55mm on triplex only.

What quantities are listed for triplex cards?

From 50 up to 10000. The list runs 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 750 and 1000, then every thousand from 2000 to 10000. For anything above that or between steps, get a custom quote.

How much are 100 or 500 triplex cards?

On the cheapest combination, 100 cards are £100.82 and 500 cards are £286.20. Lamination, double sided printing and your choice of paper will change those numbers, and the configurator always shows the live price for your exact setup.

Do my option choices change the triplex price?

Yes. Size, paper, sides, lamination and quantity all feed into the total, which updates on the page as you change each dropdown. It is worth trying a couple of combinations before you decide. You can compare other products the same way in the online print shop.

Can I order fewer than 50 triplex cards?

The lowest quantity listed is 50. For a handful of cards, many people order 50 and keep the spares for later, since the details rarely change. If you need a very specific number for an event, call 0161 315 1151 and the team can talk through options.

How do I set up artwork for triplex cards?

Design at the finished size you selected, 85mm x 55mm or 55mm x 55mm, and supply a print-ready PDF. That is the safest format and costs nothing extra to upload. If you are unsure about any part of the file, contact the studio before you order.

Is there help with the design of a premium card?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service for +£36.00 at the artwork step and send your logo and details. If your logo needs updating to match a premium card, start with the Logo and Brand Refresh service.

What stationery pairs well with triplex cards?

Letterheads and envelopes in the same brand style make a strong set for client pitches. See letterhead printing in Manchester and the Envelopes product to build a matching pack. Use the same logo files and colours on every piece so the set looks consistent.

How do I buy triplex business cards online?

Set Size, Paper Type, Sides Printed, Lamination and Quantity, then check the live price. Choose your artwork option, add to cart and pay by card at checkout. Other card types are listed in the card range if you want to compare first.

What payment options are there for triplex cards?

Card payments go through Stripe at checkout. Visa and Mastercard are accepted, and Apple Pay and Google Pay work on supported phones and browsers. Delivery, if you are not collecting, is shown at checkout before you pay.

Can I order both triplex sizes at the same time?

Yes. Configure one size, add it to your cart, then return to the page and set up the other. Each size needs its own artwork file at the right dimensions. Both items are paid for together in a single checkout.

Do you deliver triplex cards outside Greater Manchester?

Yes, UK-wide delivery is available, with the cost shown at checkout. Collection from the Manchester studio is the other option. WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED also has a second studio in Brierfield; read more about the company.

When should I order triplex cards for a client pitch?

Allow around 5 working days for production plus delivery time if you are not collecting, and build in a few days for artwork. If the pitch pack also needs printed folders, see presentation folder printing and order both together.

Who chooses triplex business cards?

Architects, designers and premium service firms are frequent buyers, along with anyone whose clients judge quality on first contact. The extra thickness signals substance at networking events and pitches. See business cards in Manchester for the wider range.

Can triplex cards be used as membership or VIP cards?

They can. Clubs, salons and venues sometimes want a heavy, quality card to hand to members or regular guests, and triplex does that job well. For cards made specifically for members, see membership card printing, or gift voucher printing for vouchers.

Is triplex the right card if I hand out hundreds a month?

It depends on budget. Some businesses keep triplex for senior staff and key clients, and order a lighter card for everyday handouts. Standard Business Cards and Uncoated Business Cards both suit high-volume use.
