Quick answers

What size are square business cards?

Every card on this page is 55mm x 55mm. The size is fixed, so there is no size dropdown to set. If you want to compare the square format against a conventional 85mm x 55mm card in the same thick stock, Triplex Business Cards offers both sizes side by side.

Which paper types can I choose for square business cards?

Five stocks sit in the Paper Type dropdown: 810gsm Triplex Uncoated (the standard specification), 810gsm Triplex Kraft, 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish, 300gsm Magnetic and 350gsm Recycled Uncoated. That spread covers a heavy premium card, a silk card and a magnetic one in a single product. For more on premium stocks, see luxury business cards in Manchester.

How much do square business cards cost?

The starting point is £31.80 for 50 cards, which is the cheapest combination of paper, sides and lamination at that quantity. Your own choices change the figure, and the configurator shows the live price as you go. For a quantity or stock that isn't listed, use Get a Quote.

How long do square business cards take to print?

Plan on around 6 working days for production. Treat that as the typical time rather than a fixed date, and allow for delivery on top unless you collect. If the cards are needed for a launch or show on a set day, get in touch first and the team can talk you through timing.

Can I laminate just one side of a square card?

Yes. Alongside None and the three Both Sides finishes, the Lamination dropdown offers One Side (Matt), One Side (Gloss) and One Side (Soft Touch). One-sided lamination is useful if the back is left plain or carries details you want to keep unlaminated. Compare the finishes offered on other cards in the business cards range.

Can you design my square business cards for me?

Yes. At the artwork step, choose the Professional artwork and design service for +£36.00 instead of supplying your own file. Have your logo, name, contact details and any brand colours ready. If you want to talk the layout through before ordering, send the team a message.

Can I collect square business cards in Manchester?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. You can also have them sent anywhere in the UK, with the delivery cost shown at checkout before you pay. See the areas we cover for the towns and services handled from the Manchester studio.

Asked by buyers 22

Why is 810gsm Triplex Uncoated the default stock for the square format?

It is the standard specification this product is built around. At 810gsm it is the heaviest stock in the dropdown, which gives a compact square card plenty of weight in the hand. If you prefer something lighter, 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish and 350gsm Recycled Uncoated sit in the same list. The full triplex range is on Triplex Business Cards.

What is 810gsm Triplex Kraft and when would I pick it?

It is the Kraft version of the 810gsm triplex stock, listed next to Triplex Uncoated in the Paper Type dropdown. Buyers usually pick it when a Kraft look matches their brand better than a plain white card. It keeps the same 810gsm weight, so you are changing the look rather than the thickness. More heavyweight options are covered on luxury business cards.

Can square business cards be printed on a magnetic stock?

Yes, 300gsm Magnetic is one of the five paper types. It turns your square card into a magnet a customer can keep on a fridge or filing cabinet, which suits trades and takeaways that want their number close to hand. For larger magnetic items such as vehicle signs, see magnetic printing in Manchester.

Is there a recycled paper choice for square cards?

Yes. Pick 350gsm Recycled Uncoated in the Paper Type dropdown. It keeps the 55mm x 55mm shape while giving you an uncoated, recycled stock instead of triplex or silk. If recycled paper is the main thing you care about and the square shape isn't, look at Recycled Business Cards.

How many lamination settings are there on square cards?

There are seven. You can leave the card unlaminated with None, cover both sides in Soft Touch, Matt or Gloss, or laminate a single side in Matt, Gloss or Soft Touch. Lamination is chosen in its own dropdown, separate from the paper, so you can try different pairings and watch the price update before you commit.

Can I order a square card in a size other than 55mm x 55mm?

Not on this page, because the size is fixed. For a different square measurement or another shape entirely, send your dimensions through the quote form. If 85mm x 55mm would also work for you, Textured Business Cards lists both that and the 55mm square.

Is it worth printing the back of a square card?

Often, yes. A 55mm square has less room than a standard card, so a printed back gives you space for a QR code, opening hours or social handles without crowding the front. Choose Double Sided or Single Sided in the Sides Printed dropdown. If the back points people to your listing, our Google Business Profile service can make sure it is worth visiting.

Do square business cards have a rounded corners option?

No, there is no Round Corners dropdown on this product, so you are choosing paper, sides, lamination and quantity only. If rounded corners matter to you, Standard Business Cards and Uncoated Business Cards both include a Round Corners choice of None or Yes.

What quantities can I order square cards in?

The Quantity dropdown runs 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 750 and 1000, then 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000. That covers a first batch for a new business right through to a full team supply. For a figure between those steps or above 5000, request a quote with the number you need.

How much more do 1000 square cards cost than 500?

On the cheapest combination of options, 500 cards come to £51.70 and 1000 come to £63.46, so doubling the run adds less than ten pounds. Heavier stocks or lamination will raise both figures. The configurator shows the live price for your exact choices before anything goes in the cart.

Do paper and lamination choices change the price of square cards?

Yes. Paper type, sides printed, lamination and quantity each move the total, and the price on the page updates every time you change a dropdown. That makes it easy to compare, say, triplex against silk at the same quantity. You can browse other card products and their options in the online print shop.

How should I set up artwork for a 55mm square card?

Build the design at the finished size of 55mm x 55mm and save it as a print-ready PDF, which is the safest format to supply. Keep text away from the very edge so nothing feels cramped on the compact face. If you are unsure about your file, contact the studio before you order.

Is the +£36.00 design service a good idea for a square layout?

It can be, especially if your existing card design is laid out for a wider format and won't simply shrink into a square. Choose Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step and supply your logo and details. For broader design and print help on cards, see business cards in Manchester.

Can square cards match my letterheads and compliment slips?

Yes, if you use the same logo, colours and fonts across each piece. Many businesses order a matching set so everything a client receives looks consistent. You can order Letterheads and Compliment Slips from the same site and supply artwork built from the same brand files.

How do I order square business cards online?

Work down the dropdowns: Paper Type, Sides Printed, Lamination and Quantity. The price refreshes with each change. Next, pick your artwork option, either your own print-ready file at no charge or the design service, then add the cards to your cart and pay by card at checkout. Other card styles are listed in the business cards category.

Which payment methods can I use for square cards?

Card payments are processed by Stripe, so you can pay with Visa or Mastercard, or use Apple Pay or Google Pay on a supported device. Payment is taken when you complete the order at checkout, and the delivery cost, if you are not collecting, is shown there too before you confirm.

Can I order square cards for a whole team with different names?

Yes. Each name is effectively its own artwork, so a team order with several versions is easiest to arrange by talking to the studio first. Call 0161 315 1151 or message 07737 902425 on WhatsApp with the number of names and the quantity per person, and the team can explain the simplest way to order the full set.

Can square business cards be sent anywhere in the UK?

Yes. UK delivery is available and the cost appears at checkout once your order is in the cart, so you see it before paying. Local customers can collect instead. WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED works from a Manchester studio with a second studio in Brierfield; read more about the company.

When should I order square cards for a trade show?

Allow around 6 working days for production, then add delivery time if you are not collecting. Ordering a week or two ahead of the event leaves room to sort any artwork questions. If the show also needs a stand or banners, see trade show display printing.

What kinds of business choose square business cards?

Start-ups, independent retailers and creative professionals use them most, because the square format stands out from a stack of rectangular cards. They suit brands with a strong logo or a modern look that fits a compact square face. Compare the square format against other styles in the full card range.

Can a square card be used as a loyalty or appointment card?

Yes. Print the stamp boxes or appointment lines on the back with Double Sided printing, and choose an unlaminated stock if people will write on it. For dedicated loyalty formats and advice on stamp layouts, see loyalty card printing in Manchester.

Could I use square cards as product tags or gift tags?

Some shops do, slipping a square card into a bag or tucking it in with a gift. No hole or string option is listed on this product, though. If you need a tag that hangs from a product, Swing Tags are made for that job.
