Quick answers

What pouch sizes are available?

There are three formats: 100ml 90x160mm, 250ml 130x220mm and 500ml 170x270mm. The volume in each name gives a guide to capacity, and the measurements are the flat size of the pouch. Fill a sample of your product to the same volume before you pick. For a different size, use Get a Quote.

How much does printed pouch packaging cost?

The starting price is £304.25 for 100 pouches on the cheapest combination of format, film and features. Adding a closure, hole or white printing can change that, and the configurator shows the live total for your exact settings. You can compare other formats in the packaging and bags range.

Which pouch material should I choose?

The Substrate dropdown offers Multilayer transparent film, Multilayer paper and aluminium film, and Multilayer barrier paper recyclable. Transparent film lets the product show through, while the two paper options give a paper look. The right choice depends on what you are packing, so contact the team with your product details if you are unsure.

Can printed pouches have a closure?

Yes. The Closure dropdown has two settings, Yes or None, and there is a matching Feature-Closure dropdown. The page does not name the closure type, so if you need a particular kind for your product, ask the team before ordering. The price updates when you switch each setting.

How long does pouch packaging take?

Production typically takes around 13 working days, so plan it into your launch schedule. That is a guide rather than a fixed date, and delivery time is extra unless you collect. If you need branded stock in the meantime, labels from our product label printing service can go on plain packaging.

What is the minimum order for printed pouches?

The smallest run is 100 pouches. The dropdown then rises in steps of 100 up to 1000, and in steps of 1000 from there to 10000. That gives you plenty of points to choose from as sales grow. For a quantity that sits between two steps, ask through the quote form.

Can I collect pouch packaging in Manchester?

Yes. Orders can be collected from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you would rather have the pouches sent, UK delivery is available and the cost is shown at checkout. Nearby towns are listed under areas we cover.

Asked by buyers 20

Which pouch format holds 250ml?

The 250ml 130x220mm format is named for that volume. Product density matters, so a light, bulky product like loose tea may take up more room than a liquid of the same volume. Test with a sample bag if you can. If none of the three formats suits, describe your product on the Get a Quote form.

What do Bottom Customization and Bottom Dimensions mean?

Both relate to the base of the pouch. Bottom Customization is a Yes or None choice, and Bottom Dimensions offers 30+30 mm, 35+35 mm and 40+40 mm. The page does not explain how each setting changes the finished pouch, so ask the team which suits your product before you order.

What is the hole option on a pouch for?

The Hole and Feature-Hole dropdowns are both Yes or None. A hole in a pouch is normally there so it can hang on a display peg, so choose Yes if your stockists use pegboard or hook displays. Leave it at None for pouches that stand or lie on a shelf. More display ideas are on our point of sale printing page.

What does Selective white printing do?

The Printing White dropdown offers Selective or None. Selective means white ink goes down only in chosen areas of the design. It matters most on Multilayer transparent film, where there is no white base under the colours. If your design uses no white, None is the simpler setting.

Can customers see the product through the pouch?

Yes, if you choose Multilayer transparent film. Areas of the pouch you leave unprinted stay clear, so you can frame a window in the design to show off coffee beans, sweets or bath salts. The two paper-based substrates do not offer that view. Browse more packaging in the packaging category.

Is there a paper-look pouch?

Yes, two of the three substrates are paper-based: Multilayer paper and aluminium film, and Multilayer barrier paper recyclable. Both give a paper look rather than clear film. If you sell from a shop or market stall, matching Printed Paper Bags keep the same feel at the point of sale.

What do 1000 printed pouches cost?

On the cheapest options, 1000 pouches cost £1,505.62 and 5000 cost £6,456.50. Your format, substrate and features set the real total, and the configurator shows it live as you choose. Larger runs bring the cost per pouch down. Branded giveaways to sell alongside are on our promotional products page.

Is 6000 pouches much more than 5000?

Not on the cheapest options: 6000 come to £6,517.85, only a little above the 5000 figure, so the extra thousand costs very little. Check the step above your planned quantity before ordering, as it can be better value. Your own settings set the live price.

Can I order 1500 pouches?

Above 1000 the dropdown moves in steps of 1000, so 1500 is not listed. Choose 1000 or 2000, depending on how quickly you sell through stock and how much storage you have. Compare the live totals for both before deciding, and remember the lead time when planning your next order.

What artwork do I need for a printed pouch?

A print-ready PDF made for your chosen format is the safest file. Keep important wording and logos away from the edges and the base, where the pouch folds and seals. If you are choosing Selective white, make clear which areas should carry it. For product labels to go with the pouch, see packaging label printing.

Should ingredients and batch details be printed on the pouch?

Fixed details such as ingredients can be printed as part of the design, as long as the text stays readable at your chosen format, which is tight on 100ml 90x160mm. Details that change, such as batch numbers or dates, are easier on a separate label. Our roll label printing service handles those.

Can you design my pouch artwork?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step, and your logo, product name and wording are laid out for the pouch. The fee is shown at that step. It suits producers launching a first product without a designer. For a website to sell it on, see ecommerce website design.

How do I order pouch packaging online?

Work through Format, Substrate, Bottom Customization, Bottom Dimensions, Closure, Feature-Closure, Hole, Feature-Hole, Printing White and Quantity. The price updates after each choice. Then pick your artwork route, add to cart and pay by card through Stripe, using Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Other items can be added from the shop.

Who produces the pouches?

Your order is handled by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED in Manchester, a print, signs and web company trading since 2003 that has helped over 20,000 UK businesses. Call 0161 315 1151, message 07737 902425 on WhatsApp or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Read more about Web Print Signs.

Is pouch packaging delivered across the UK?

Yes. UK delivery is available, and the cost is calculated at checkout before you pay. Customers close to the city can collect from the studio instead. Larger quantities arrive in bulky cartons, so check you have dry storage ready. Our custom packaging boxes page covers outer cartons if you ship pouches on.

When should I order pouches for a trade show or market?

Allow around 13 working days for production, then delivery and time to fill and seal the pouches. Add a buffer for artwork changes. If you are exhibiting, stand graphics can be planned at the same time through our exhibition graphics service so the pouches and stand match.

What products suit printed pouches?

Coffee, tea, snacks, dried fruit, pet treats, bath salts and cosmetic refills are all common fits, provided they suit one of the three formats. Measure or weigh a sample before choosing. For a rigid gift box alongside the pouch, compare Crash Lock Promotional Boxes.

Can the 100ml pouch be used for samples?

Yes. The 100ml 90x160mm format suits trial sizes, freebies at events and samples sent with online orders. A sample pouch carries your branding home with the customer. Pair it with a printed card showing how to reorder, using our flyer printing service.

How do I keep a range of pouches looking consistent?

Use the same layout on every pouch and change one element, such as a colour band or the product name, for each variant. One design printed across the run with a flavour sticker on the front is another route. Stickers on a Sheet work well for that.

Are pouches a good choice for a first product launch?

They can be. With runs starting at 100, you can launch a product without large stock, then step up as sales grow. Getting the format and substrate right first matters more than the quantity. Our promotional products page has branded items to support a launch.
