Quick answers

What sizes do canvas prints come in?

There are six sizes: 20cm x 30cm, 30cm x 30cm, 30cm x 40cm, 40cm x 60cm, 50cm x 70cm and 60cm x 90cm. The smaller ones suit a shelf or desk, and 60cm x 90cm makes a statement piece above a sofa or reception desk. For a size not on that list, send the measurements via Get a Quote.

How much is a canvas print?

A single canvas starts at £31.56 on the cheapest size and orientation combination. Larger sizes cost more, and the configurator shows the live price as soon as you change the Size dropdown. You can see the rest of the wall-art options across our posters and art prints range.

Can I choose portrait, landscape or square?

Yes, the Orientation dropdown offers Landscape, Portrait and Square. Pick the one that matches your photo or artwork so nothing important gets cropped. Square pairs naturally with the 30cm x 30cm size. If your image is an unusual shape, ask us which option fits before you order.

How quickly will my canvas be ready?

Canvas prints typically take around 2 working days to produce. That is a guide rather than a fixed promise, and delivery time is added if you are not collecting. If the canvas is a gift for a set date, order early, or collect from our Manchester studio to save the delivery leg.

Can you turn my photo into a canvas?

Yes. Upload a sharp, high-resolution photo as your own print-ready artwork, which is free, and choose the size and orientation that suit it. If the image needs cropping, retouching or text adding, choose the Professional artwork and design service for £36.00. For framed-style prints on paper instead, see Heavyweight Art Prints.

How many canvas prints can I order?

The Quantity dropdown runs from 1 to 10 per size, which suits a single gift or a handful for an office or café wall. Add different sizes as separate cart items to build a gallery wall. For a larger run, such as a hotel fit-out, use our quote form.

Can I collect my canvas in Manchester?

Yes. Collection is available from our studio at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. If you would rather have it sent, UK delivery is available and the cost shows at checkout. Our areas we cover page lists the Greater Manchester towns we serve.

What will my canvas look like at the edges?

The facts we publish for this product cover size, orientation and quantity, not the edge or frame style. If the edge finish matters for how you plan to hang the piece, get in touch before ordering and we will explain exactly what you will receive for your chosen size.

Will my photo look good on canvas?

Photos with strong colour and a clear subject tend to translate well. Very dark or low-resolution images lose detail at larger sizes, so match the size to the quality of your file. If you have a phone photo, try a smaller size such as 30cm x 40cm first.

Is a canvas better than a paper print for my wall?

It depends on the look you want. Canvas gives a different look from paper, while a paper print usually goes into a frame you choose. If you prefer framing your own, our Heavyweight Art Prints on 300gsm or 350gsm paper are worth comparing.

Which canvas size works above a sofa?

For a main feature wall, 50cm x 70cm or 60cm x 90cm usually holds its own above a sofa or bed. A pair of 40cm x 60cm canvases side by side is another option. Measure the wall space and mark it out with tape before you choose, so the scale feels right.

Which sizes suit a square image?

The 30cm x 30cm size with the Square orientation is the direct match for square images, such as Instagram photos or album artwork. Other sizes are rectangular, so a square picture would need cropping to fit them. Squares are also handy for a grid of three or more across a wall, as on our wall graphics projects.

Can I mix sizes for a gallery wall?

Yes. Add each size to your cart as its own line, with its own orientation and quantity. A common layout is one large 60cm x 90cm centre piece flanked by two 30cm x 40cm canvases. Lay paper templates on the wall first to test spacing.

Does ordering more canvases lower the price?

Not much on this product. The cheapest combination works out at £315.70 for ten, which is close to ten times the single price, so the cost is mostly per canvas. What changes the total most is the size you pick, so compare sizes in the configurator before settling.

Can I order one canvas as a gift?

Yes, a single canvas is the most common order. Choose your size and orientation, upload the photo, and add it to the cart. If you are ordering several gifts with different photos, add each one as its own cart item so the right image goes on the right canvas.

Do I pay extra for the design service?

Only if you choose it, so you control that part of the cost. Supplying your own artwork is free, and the Professional artwork and design service is an optional paid extra shown at the artwork step. That service is useful for photo collages, adding names or dates, or cleaning up an older image. Our greeting card printing page is handy if you want matching cards too.

What resolution should my canvas file be?

Supply the largest, sharpest version of the image you have, set up at the finished size you are ordering. A print-ready PDF or high-quality image at that size is the safest choice. Screenshots and images saved from social media are often too small. Not sure about your file? Send us a message.

Can you combine several photos onto one canvas?

Yes, through the Professional artwork and design service. Send the photos and tell the designer the layout you want, for example a grid of family pictures or a before-and-after pair. The finished layout is then printed at the size and orientation you selected.

Can I add text to my canvas?

You can. Include it in your own artwork, or ask the design service to add a name, date or quote for you. Keep text away from the outer edges of the design so nothing important sits too close to the border. For printed stationery to match, see invitation printing.

How do I order a canvas print online?

Choose your size, orientation and quantity, and the price updates as you go. Select whether you are supplying artwork or using the design service, add it to your cart and pay by card. Other items from the online print shop can go in the same basket.

What payment methods are accepted?

Card payment at checkout through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The total, including any delivery charge, is shown before you confirm. Businesses ordering canvases for an office or venue fit-out can ask for a tailored quote via Get a Quote.

Can I send a canvas straight to the person it is for?

Yes. Put the recipient's address in as the delivery address at checkout. UK delivery is available, and the cost is shown before you pay. If you would like to add a personal note or card, pick up some printed greeting cards as well.

Is collection quicker than delivery?

Collecting from our Manchester studio skips the courier stage, so you can pick up as soon as the canvas is ready. Production is typically around 2 working days. If you live nearby, collection also lets you check the canvas in person before you take it home.

Where is your Manchester studio?

Our main studio is at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB, with a second studio at 20 Burnley Road, Brierfield BB9 5HS. You can call 0161 315 1151 or WhatsApp 07737 902425 to arrange collection. More about who we are is on the about page.

Do businesses use canvas prints?

Yes. Offices hang them in reception areas and meeting rooms, and shops use them to show product photography or brand imagery. Cafés and salons use them to decorate walls without a full redesign. For bigger wall coverage, our wall graphics service prints whole murals.

Are canvas prints a good way to sell my artwork?

Many artists sell canvas reproductions alongside originals, using the smaller sizes as affordable pieces and the larger ones as feature prints. Order a single canvas first to judge colour and scale, then reorder in the sizes that sell. For limited-edition paper prints, compare Heavyweight Art Prints.

What makes a good canvas gift?

Wedding photos, new babies, pets, holiday shots and family portraits are the usual favourites. A 30cm x 30cm square works well for a single portrait, while a 50cm x 70cm landscape suits a scenic photo. Choose the design service if you want names or a date added.

Can I use canvas prints for a restaurant or café interior?

Yes. A set of matching canvases showing your food, your area or your story adds character without permanent fixings. Combine them with printed menus for a consistent look; our menu printing service can match the style.

Can I hang a canvas outdoors?

The product facts do not describe canvas prints as weatherproof, so plan on them going indoors. For signage that will face rain and wind, look at Waterproof Posters on 400gsm PVC Free or 440gsm PVC instead.
