Quick answers

What sizes do deskpads come in?

There are ten choices in the Size dropdown: A3, A4, A5, A6 and DL, each as a Portrait or Landscape Deskpad. A3 and A4 suit desk planners and meeting layouts, while A6 and DL work as to-do or phone-message pads. Browse the full stationery range for related items.

How many sheets are in each deskpad?

Choose 25, 50 or 100 pages per pad in the Pages Per Pad dropdown. 50 is the middle ground for most offices, 100 lasts longer on a busy desk, and 25 suits event bags or one-off giveaways. Need a different count? Get a quote with the details and the team will price it.

Which paper is best for a deskpad?

The standard specification is 120gsm Uncoated, and an uncoated sheet is a common choice for a pad people write on all day. 90gsm and 170gsm Premium Smooth White Paper are also in the Paper Type dropdown if you prefer a lighter or heavier smooth sheet. See our notepad printing page for more on pads.

Can I order just one deskpad?

Yes. The Quantity dropdown starts at 1 pad, and 1 deskpad starts at £34.68 on the cheapest combination of options. Quantities go up to 500 pads, and the configurator shows the live price for your size, paper and page count. For more than 500 pads, contact the studio to discuss the run.

How long do deskpads take to print?

Typical turnaround is around 6 working days. Treat it as a guide, and allow for delivery on top if you are not collecting from our Manchester studio. If the pads are needed for a particular meeting, launch or trade show, get in touch before ordering so timing can be checked.

What is the difference between portrait and landscape deskpads?

Portrait pads are taller than they are wide, like a standard letter. Landscape pads turn the same size on its side, which suits weekly planners and keyboard-width layouts. Pick the orientation your artwork was built for, as the two are separate options. For a dated calendar rather than a pad, see Desk Calendars.

Can you design the deskpad layout for me?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service for +£36.00 and a designer will build the layout, such as a branded header with lined or planner sections. You can also supply your own print-ready artwork free of charge. Tell the designer the size and orientation you picked. Our corporate stationery page shows matched sets.

Why is 120gsm Uncoated the default deskpad paper?

It is the standard specification for this product and the only uncoated option in the dropdown. Uncoated stock has no surface coating, which makes it a natural fit for a pad that gets written on rather than looked at. The two Premium Smooth White Paper weights are there if you want a smoother sheet. Compare Carbonless (NCR) Pads if you need copies.

When should I choose 170gsm for a deskpad?

170gsm Premium Smooth White Paper is the heaviest option, so each sheet is firmer. It suits planners and A3 pads that stay on the desk for days rather than being torn off every few minutes. For another desk item that stays put all year with your logo on it, compare Mousemats.

Is 90gsm paper too thin for a deskpad?

90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper is the lightest of the three options. It works well for quick notes, phone messages and scrap-pad use, where sheets are torn off and thrown away often. If you want something more substantial, step up to the standard 120gsm Uncoated or to 170gsm. The configurator shows how each choice affects the price.

Which size suits a pad that sits in front of a keyboard?

A landscape format sits well in front of a keyboard. A4 Landscape Deskpad is the common choice for a weekly planner, while A5 Landscape Deskpad or DL Landscape Deskpad give a slimmer strip. Measure the space on the desk before choosing. Ask about other dimensions through the quote form.

What is a DL deskpad?

DL is a long, narrow format, a third of an A4 sheet and the same shape as a compliment slip. As a deskpad it works well for shopping lists, to-do lists and phone messages next to a monitor. It comes as DL Portrait Deskpad or DL Landscape Deskpad. For the single-sheet version, see Compliment Slips.

Which deskpad size works best in meeting rooms?

A4 Portrait Deskpad is the usual choice for meeting rooms, giving each seat plenty of space for notes. A3 sizes suit planners that stay on one desk rather than being carried around. For notes on the move, choose A5 or A6, or look at our bound Custom A5 Notebook instead.

How much do 10 deskpads cost?

10 pads start at £67.78 on the cheapest combination of size, paper and page count. The configurator shows the live price as you change those options, so an A3 pad with 100 pages will price differently from an A6 pad with 25. For a bigger rollout, 100 pads start at £165.02. Browse the shop for other office items.

Does the number of pages per pad change the price?

Pages Per Pad is one of the four options the configurator uses to work out your price, along with Size, Paper Type and Quantity. Compare 25, 50 and 100 to find the right balance between cost and how long each pad lasts. The from-prices quoted on this page are the cheapest combination, so check the live figure for your exact choice.

Is there a better price for 500 deskpads?

500 is the largest quantity in the dropdown, and the configurator shows its live price for your chosen options. Ordering more pads at once brings the cost of each pad down considerably. If you need more than 500 pads, or several designs in one run, use Get a Quote and list what you need.

What should a deskpad design include?

Most designs put the logo and contact details in a header or footer and leave the middle clear for writing. Lines, a date box or a weekly grid can be built into the artwork if you want structure. Keep important text away from the edges. For headed paper that matches the pad, see Letterheads.

Which file should I send for a deskpad?

A print-ready PDF at the finished size of the deskpad you selected is the safest choice, set up in the same orientation, portrait or landscape. Embed the fonts and use a high-resolution logo. If you only have a rough sketch of the layout, the design service can turn it into artwork. For other questions, contact the studio.

Can a deskpad work as a weekly planner?

Yes. Set the artwork up with the days of the week across an A4 Landscape Deskpad or A3 Landscape Deskpad, and each sheet becomes a fresh week. The design service at +£36.00 can lay this out if you send a sketch. For a dated year planner, see our calendar printing service.

How do I order deskpads?

Choose Size, Paper Type, Pages Per Pad and Quantity from the dropdowns, and the price updates live with each choice. Then pick an artwork option, add to cart and pay by card at checkout via Stripe with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Explore the rest of our business stationery before checking out.

Can I order two deskpad sizes in one go?

Yes. Configure the first size and add it to your cart, then return to the page, pick the second size and add that too. Both lines are paid together at checkout. Many offices pair an A4 pad for meetings with an A6 or DL pad for phone messages. The shop lists everything else you can add.

Can I collect deskpads from your studio?

Yes, collection is available from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB. Allow around 6 working days for production before you arrange to pick up. The business has been printing for Manchester firms since 2003, and our about page tells you more.

Do you deliver deskpads across the UK?

Yes. UK delivery is available, and the cost is shown at checkout before you pay. It is worked out from your order and address, so heavier orders of large pads can differ from a single A6 pad. Our areas we cover page lists the towns we serve most often.

Who uses branded deskpads?

Offices, estate agents, hotels, garages and creative agencies all use them. Hotels leave them by the phone in rooms, agencies use them for sketching ideas in briefings, and service businesses hand them to staff for job notes. For hotel menus and table items, see menu printing.

Are deskpads good promotional giveaways?

Yes. A pad sits on a client's desk for weeks and puts your logo in front of them every time they jot something down. A6 or DL pads with 25 pages are a sensible size for event bags. For other giveaways to hand out alongside them, browse promotional products.

Can schools use printed deskpads?

Yes. Teachers use them for lesson planning and reward notes, and an A5 pad can double as a homework planner sheet. Order in quantities that match class sizes or staff numbers, from a single pad upwards. For certificates and awards at the end of term, see certificate printing.

Can a deskpad include a calendar?

Yes, you can print a month or year calendar as part of the artwork, but the date layout must be supplied in your file or prepared through the design service. A calendar printed this way suits a desk that needs dates and notes on one sheet. For standalone calendars, browse calendars and planners.

How do deskpads compare with NCR pads?

Deskpads give single sheets for notes and planning. Carbonless pads produce duplicate copies, which suits orders, receipts and job sheets where both parties need a record. If your staff need to hand a copy to a customer, look at NCR books in Manchester rather than a deskpad.

Is a deskpad the same as a notepad?

Broadly, yes, though the deskpads on this page also come in larger sizes up to A3, so they can cover much more of a desk. The A6 and DL pads behave like a traditional notepad. All sizes share the same paper and page-count choices. See our notepad printing page for the Manchester service.
