Quick answers

Can I order just one custom mailer box?

Yes. The Quantity dropdown starts at 1, and a single box starts at £164.23 on the cheapest options. One box is handy as a sample or for a one-off presentation. After that the steps run 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 and 200. For more than 200 boxes, use Get a Quote.

What mailer box formats can I choose from?

The Format dropdown has 23 options across six styles: MAILER, GIFT MAILER, TUCKTOP, SHIPPER, ONEPIECE and WINECARRIER. They run from compact formats such as MAILER 15x12x5 cm and TUCKTOP 14x10x10 up to SHIPPER 50x30x50 and MAILER 50x50x15 cm. Other packaging styles are listed in the packaging and bags range.

Can mailer boxes be printed on the inside?

Yes. The Printing Sides dropdown offers Printed outside only, Printed inside only and Printed both sides. Printing the inside means your message or pattern appears the moment the lid comes up, which is why subscription brands often ask for it. Our custom packaging boxes page covers wider packaging projects.

Which cardboard should I choose for mailer boxes?

There are four substrates: Cardboard E-flute White Double-coated, Cardboard E-flute Havana, Cardboard B-flute White Double-coated and Cardboard B-flute Havana. So you are choosing between E-flute and B-flute, and between the White Double-coated and Havana versions. If you are unsure which suits your product's weight, ask the team before ordering.

How long do custom mailer boxes take?

Typical production is around 4 working days. That is a guide rather than a set date, and delivery time is extra unless you collect. Build in a margin for artwork changes if you are working towards a launch. If the boxes are for a new online store, our ecommerce website design service can build the shop too.

Do you offer printed wine carrier boxes?

Yes, three of the formats are wine carriers: WINECARRIER ONE PIECE, WINECARRIER TWO PIECES and WINECARRIER THREE PIECES. The page lists the names only, so check with the team which one fits your bottles before you order. For single bottles in a slimmer carton, see the Bottle Box.

Where can I collect custom mailer boxes?

Collect from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB, or choose UK delivery, with the cost shown at checkout. Collection suits local online sellers who want stock in hand as soon as it is ready. Towns we serve around the city are listed on areas we cover.

Asked by buyers 21

What is the difference between a MAILER and a GIFT MAILER?

They share three sizes, 15x12x5, 20x14x8 and 23x23x8, so the names mark two styles rather than two size ranges. MAILER also adds 35x25x10 cm and 50x50x15 cm. The page doesn't describe how the two styles differ in construction, so ask the team if that matters for your product.

What are the ONEPIECE formats good for?

ONEPIECE comes as A5 21.6x15.6x3, A4 30.6x21.6x3 and A3 42.6x30.6x3, each with a depth of 3. The paper-size names make them a natural fit for flat items such as art prints, documents, notebooks or brochures. If the contents are printed too, see our brochure printing service.

When would I use a SHIPPER format?

SHIPPER formats are the deepest boxes in the list: 12.5x12.5x12.5 cm, 20x18x16 cm, 35x32x22, 40x30x24 and 50x30x50. They suit bulkier products or several items sent together. For flatter goods, the MAILER and ONEPIECE formats are shallower. Seal them with branded Packaging Tape.

Which TUCKTOP sizes are offered?

There are four: TUCKTOP 14x10x10, 20x18x10, 25x25x10 and 35x26x10, all with the same depth of 10. They give you a range of footprints at one depth, which helps when you sell items of similar thickness in different sizes. For retail cartons with a locking base, compare Crash Lock Promotional Boxes.

Which format fits an A4 item?

ONEPIECE A4 30.6x21.6x3 is named for it and leaves a little clearance around an A4 sheet. If the item is thicker than that depth, TUCKTOP 35x26x10 or MAILER 35x25x10 cm gives more height. Measure the item with any packing material before choosing. Promotional Boxes are another style to compare.

What does Printed both sides mean?

Both the outer and inner faces of the box carry your design. It suits brands that want a logo outside and a thank-you message or pattern revealed on opening. Printed inside only leaves the outside unprinted, which keeps the parcel discreet in transit. Branded Stickers on a Sheet can seal the lid.

Should I choose White Double-coated or Havana board?

That mostly comes down to how you want the board to look under your print. Both versions are available in E-flute and B-flute for every format. If you want to see the board before committing to a larger run, order a single box first, since the quantity starts at 1 and the price updates live.

Is E-flute or B-flute better for posting heavier items?

The page lists both flutes for every format but doesn't give strength figures, so the right choice depends on what you are posting and how it travels. Tell us the product, its weight and the format you have in mind on the quote form, and the team can advise before you buy.

How much do 50 custom mailer boxes cost?

On the cheapest options, 50 boxes cost £484.80 and 100 boxes cost £647.06. Format, substrate and printing sides all change that figure, and the configurator shows the live total for your choices. A bigger SHIPPER printed both sides will price higher than a compact MAILER printed outside only. Compare other formats in the packaging category.

Does ordering more lower the cost per box?

Yes. Compare the live totals for 1, 10 and 25 boxes in the configurator: going from one box to ten adds relatively little to the total, so the cost of each box falls sharply. The same pattern carries on up to 200. Price a few steps before deciding, then add anything else you need from the shop.

What is the most I can order online?

The online steps go up to 200 boxes, with 125, 150 and 200 at the top end. For a larger run, a mix of formats on one price or a quantity between the steps, send the details through Get a Quote with the format, board and printing sides you want.

Should I order a single sample box before a full run?

It is a sensible step if the packaging is new to you. With the quantity starting at 1, you can check the format against your product, see the board and print in hand, and test how it travels before ordering 50 or 100. Expect the single box to cost far more per unit than a bigger run.

How do I supply artwork for a box printed inside and out?

Send a print-ready PDF laid out for the format you selected, covering both the outer and inner faces if you chose Printed both sides. Keep text and logos clear of folds and edges. If that layout is unfamiliar, choose the design service at the artwork step. Inserts dropped into the box can match through our flyer printing.

Can you design a mailer box from my logo?

Yes. Pick the Professional artwork and design service at the artwork step, and your logo and wording are laid out on the box for you. The fee is shown at that step and added to your order. Matching compliment slips make a neat thank-you note to tuck inside.

How do I order custom mailer boxes online?

Choose a Format, Printing Sides, Substrate and Quantity, and the price updates after each pick. Then choose your artwork route, add the boxes to your cart and pay by card at checkout. Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Branded Custom Sticker Sheets can go in the same order.

Can I mix formats in one checkout?

Yes. Add each format as its own cart item, for example 25 of MAILER 20x14x8 cm and 25 of SHIPPER 20x18x16 cm. Each line is priced on its own settings, and you pay for everything together at checkout. Browse the print shop if you want to add other printed items before paying.

Who makes the custom mailer boxes?

Orders are handled by WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a Manchester print, signs and web company trading since 2003 that has helped over 20,000 UK businesses. You can reach the team on 0161 315 1151, on WhatsApp at 07737 902425 or by email at hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Find out more about Web Print Signs.

Are mailer boxes delivered nationwide?

Yes, UK delivery is available, and the cost is calculated at checkout before you pay. Boxes for a whole run can take up a fair bit of room, so plan where they will be stored. Customers near Manchester can collect from the studio instead, and nearby towns appear on areas we cover.

Are mailer boxes a good fit for subscription boxes?

Yes. Formats like MAILER 23x23x8 cm and GIFT MAILER 23x23x8 give a square footprint for a monthly selection, and printing inside adds a reveal on opening. Order a single box to test the fit, then move up the steps. If you need a site to sell the subscription, see ecommerce website design.

What can I put in the box alongside the product?

A printed thank-you card, a discount code for the next order, a care guide or a few branded stickers all add to the moment the box is opened. Postcards work well as insert cards, and our sticker printing service covers logo stickers for sealing tissue or adding to the box.

Can mailer boxes be used for staff welcome packs or event gifts?

Yes. Welcome packs for new starters, event goodie boxes and client gifts are all good uses, and the GIFT MAILER formats are named with that kind of presentation in mind. Fill them with branded items and a printed welcome note. See our promotional products page for things to put inside.
