Why Burnley businesses de-brand their vans

Burnley has a strong manufacturing and engineering base along the M65, plus builders, electricians and other trades working across Burnley, Padiham, Nelson and the surrounding villages. Many run vans on lease, and lease companies expect them back without graphics or glue lines. Shops and food businesses in the town centre use lettered vans for deliveries and events.

A sold van that still carries your name keeps you tied to a vehicle you no longer control, and adhesive left on a returned van can mean charges. Careful removal avoids both. Our van livery removal Manchester page explains the method we use.

Working from Brierfield

Web Print Signs has been trading since 2003, with our main office in Manchester and a Lancashire base in Brierfield, next door to Burnley. That means Burnley jobs are local for us: we can come to your yard if there is safe space around the van, or the van can be brought to us by arrangement.

To get a price, send photos of both sides, the back and the front, plus a close-up of the oldest graphic, by WhatsApp or email, with the make and model. We reply with a fixed quote.

Old lettering on hard-working vans

Vans working across East Lancashire face plenty of rain, road grit and winter salt, and graphics that have been on for years take a beating. Old vinyl goes hard and brittle, and pulled off cold it shatters into tiny pieces and leaves glue behind. We take our time: small sections, steady heat and plenty of patience with the adhesive, so the van is left clean rather than patchy.

Engineering and manufacturing firms often have several vans to de-brand when a lease ends. We can work through them at your premises in an order that keeps your business moving, and brand the replacement vans in the same visits with our fleet branding service.

On older vans, the paint that sat under the lettering may be slightly brighter than the paint around it once the vinyl is off. Removal cannot change the paint, but we tell you from the photos whether that is likely, so you know what to expect.

For a single van being replaced, new lettering can go on the new vehicle in the same booking with vehicle lettering.

What do customers ask before ordering?

Do you really cover Burnley from Manchester?

Yes. Alongside our Manchester office we have a Lancashire base in Brierfield, right next to Burnley, so Burnley work is local for us.

Can you strip vans at our works near the M65?

Yes, if there is safe space around each van and some shelter. We plan around your operation so we do not get in the way.

Will the paint be damaged?

Factory paint is left as it was. Resprayed or flaking paint can lift, and we point that out before starting.

Can you meet a lease return date?

Yes. Tell us the date when you send photos and we book the removal with time to spare.

How long does it take?

It depends on the amount and age of the vinyl. We give a realistic time with your quote.

Do you take away the old vinyl?

Yes. Everything we remove leaves with us.

Across Pendle and East Lancashire

From Brierfield we also work across Pendle and East Lancashire, including Nelson, Colne and Padiham. For signs, graphics and print in the area, see our Burnley signs page.
