Rochdale vehicles that need de-branding

Manufacturers and distributors near junction 21 of the M62 run vans and light trucks on lease cycles, and lease companies expect them back plain. Trades working across the borough change vans every few years. Retailers, caterers and community and co-operative organisations in the town centre often run a single lettered van or minibus that eventually needs replacing.

Vinyl left on a sold van keeps your name on someone else’s vehicle, and glue lines or flakes left on a returned van lead to charges. Removing graphics properly protects the paint and the value. Our van livery removal Manchester page explains the technique.

Quoting from photos

Send one photo of each side, the rear and the front, plus a close-up of the most weathered graphic and anything reflective, with the make and model. For a fleet, one set per van. We send back a fixed quote.

Rochdale is roughly 30 to 35 minutes from our office via the A664 or the M60 and M62, depending on traffic. For fleets we usually come to your depot; single vans can come to us in M8 by arrangement if that is easier.

Tell us any lease return dates when you send photos, so we can plan the work with time to spare before collection.

Fleet returns from Kingsway and the M62

Distribution vans are often covered in small details as well as the main livery: fleet numbers front and back, reflective chevrons on the rear doors, height and weight stickers, safety notices and contact details around the cab. Lease inspectors check all of these. We go round each van with a checklist so nothing is left behind, including stickers inside door shuts and on the dashboard.

Reflective chevrons use a stronger adhesive than ordinary lettering and take longer to remove. We allow for that in the price rather than rushing it on the day, because rushed chevron removal is what usually leaves glue behind.

We can work through a batch at your depot over one or more visits, in an order that keeps your rota running. Replacement vans can be branded in the same visits with our fleet branding service.

For a single van in the town centre, the job is simpler but the care is the same. If the new van needs lettering, it can be done in the same booking using vehicle lettering.

What do customers ask before ordering?

Can you de-brand vans at our depot on Kingsway Business Park?

Yes, if there is safe space around each van. We plan around your loading and traffic so we do not get in the way.

Can you work through a batch over several days?

Yes. We schedule vans in the order that suits your rota, so only a few are off the road at once.

Do you remove chevrons and fleet numbers?

Yes. Everything comes off, including small stickers inside door shuts and on the dashboard.

Will paint be damaged?

Factory paint is left intact. Resprayed panels can be softer, so tell us about repairs and we will test them first.

Could an outline remain?

On older vans, the paint under the graphics can look slightly different from the rest. The glue is always removed, and we warn you in advance.

Do you do minibuses for community groups?

Yes. Minibuses are done the same way as vans.
