Heywood fleets and lease cycles

Heywood Distribution Park, close to junction 19 of the M62 and the M66, is busy with logistics and warehousing firms, many running vans and small trucks on lease. When a lease ends, vehicles usually have to go back without graphics or adhesive marks, and inspectors check panel edges, door seams and the rear doors closely. Missing those details can mean charges on every van in a batch.

Manufacturers, trades and town centre businesses in Heywood face the same thing on a smaller scale whenever they change a van. Our van livery removal Manchester page describes the method.

Pricing a batch from photos

For a fleet, send one set of photos per van: both sides, the rear and the front, plus close-ups of chevrons and anything badly weathered. Include the make, model and roughly how old the graphics are. We price each van and give you a total, so you can plan the return.

Heywood is roughly 25 to 30 minutes from our office via the M60 and M66, or through Middleton, depending on traffic. We can work at your depot if there is safe, sheltered space, or vans can come to us in M8 by arrangement.

Chevrons, fleet numbers and the details lease inspectors check

Logistics vans often carry reflective chevrons on the rear doors, fleet numbers on the front and back, and small safety or contact stickers around the cab. Reflective vinyl has a stronger adhesive and a tougher face than ordinary lettering, so it needs more heat and patience. We allow time for it in the quote rather than rushing it on the day.

The small items matter as much as the big graphics. A forgotten fleet number on the bonnet or a sticker on the inside of a door can still lead to a charge. We go round each van with a checklist so nothing is missed.

If replacement vans arrive at the same time, they can be branded in the same visit using our fleet branding service, so the fleet stays consistent. Single vans can be re-lettered with vehicle lettering.

Before you send photos

  • Note the lease return date for each van
  • Photograph chevrons and fleet numbers close up
  • Tell us where the vans are kept and how much space there is
  • Say if any vans have had panels resprayed

What do customers ask before ordering?

Can you work at our depot on Heywood Distribution Park?

Yes, if there is safe space to work around each van and some shelter. We plan around your yard so we do not block loading.

Can you strip several vans in one visit?

Yes. We work through them in an order that suits your drivers, so as few vans as possible are off the road at once.

Do you take off chevrons?

Yes. Chevrons take longer than lettering because of the stronger adhesive, and we price for that from your photos.

Will the paint be damaged?

Factory paint is left as it was. Resprayed panels can lift, so tell us about any repairs and we will check them first.

Could an outline of the old graphics show?

On older vans a faint outline can show where the paint faded. The glue is always removed, and we warn you if an outline is likely.

Can you work at night or at weekends?

Yes. Evening and weekend work can be arranged around your shifts.
