Why Chorlton van owners call us

Many of the businesses around Beech Road, Barlow Moor Road and Wilbraham Road are independents: cafes and caterers doing events, florists and bakers delivering across south Manchester, decorators and gardeners working in the surrounding streets. A small business van carries the brand everywhere it goes, which is great until the van needs replacing.

Old lettering left on a sold van keeps advertising your business on someone else’s vehicle. Torn off without care, it leaves glue, flakes and sometimes lifted paint, which knocks the value down. Removing it properly avoids both. Our van livery removal Manchester page explains how the work is done.

Photos first, then a fixed price

You can get a quote without leaving Chorlton. Send photos of each side, the rear and the bonnet, plus a close-up of the oldest graphic, by WhatsApp or email, with the make and model. We come back with a fixed price and a date.

Chorlton is roughly 25 to 35 minutes from our office in Cheetham Hill through the city centre, depending on traffic. Removal can be done where the van is kept if there is safe off-road space, or at our office in M8 by arrangement. Narrow terraced streets often lack room to work safely, so tell us where the van is parked.

The steps

1

Send your photos

We see what is on the van and how old it is.

2

Confirm the job

You receive a fixed quote and we agree a place and time.

3

Heat the graphics

Gentle heat softens the adhesive before anything is lifted.

4

Peel and clear

Vinyl is peeled slowly and leftover glue removed with a paint-safe product.

5

Wipe and hand back

Every panel is cleaned and checked before you collect the van.

What is included

  • Lettering, logos and printed graphics removed
  • Part and full wraps taken off
  • Window graphics and rear door vinyl stripped
  • All adhesive residue removed
  • Panels wiped clean
  • Old vinyl taken away

Small vans, careful work

Compact vans and converted vehicles are popular with Chorlton caterers and makers, and they often carry more detailed graphics than a trade van: full colour artwork, illustrations or photos printed across the panels. Printed wrap film comes off differently from cut lettering. It covers more area, the laminate on top can separate from the print, and it has to be lifted in sections to keep the adhesive behind it from tearing into small patches.

Food and coffee vans add another detail: serving hatches, vents and trims that graphics wrap around. We take extra care at these edges, where vinyl is tucked behind seals and trims, so nothing is left hidden in the gaps.

If the new vehicle needs your branding, we can fit it after the removal. See van graphics and van wraps for the new side of the work.

What do customers ask before ordering?

Can you work on my van on a Chorlton side street?

Only if there is safe space to work around it away from passing traffic. Narrow residential streets often are not suitable, so the van may need to come to our office in M8 by arrangement.

My coffee van has a full wrap. Can that come off?

Yes. Full wraps take longer than lettering and need more care around hatches and trims, but they come off cleanly with patience. We price from your photos.

Will the paint underneath be damaged?

Factory paint is left as it was when vinyl is removed carefully. Resprayed or weak paint can lift, and we point this out before starting.

Can there be a faint outline afterwards?

On older vans, paint around the graphics can fade more than the paint underneath, leaving a faint outline. The glue is always removed, and we warn you if an outline looks likely.

Can you do the work at a weekend?

Yes, weekend and evening removal can be arranged so you do not lose a working day.

Do you remove magnetic signs?

Yes. Magnetic signs lift off, and we clean the panel underneath, where dirt often builds up around the edges.
