Why Sale signs need refreshing

On a busy shopping street, a tired sign makes a business look tired. Printed faces fade in the sun, acrylic yellows and cracks, and fascia vinyl peels at the corners. Salons and clinics, where appearance matters to customers, often want their frontage to look as polished as the inside.

When the frame, fixings and lighting are sound, a new face is the quickest way to a fresh frontage. It is also the simplest way for a new tenant to put their name on an existing sign. Our sign face replacement Manchester page explains more.

Measuring

Sale is roughly 30 to 35 minutes from our office via the A56 or the M60, depending on traffic. Simple signs can be measured from photos with a tape measure in shot; projecting and high signs are measured on site.

Fascias for salons, cafes and boutiques

Many shops in Sale have a non-illuminated fascia: a flat panel with vinyl lettering. These are the simplest to refresh. We strip the old lettering and its adhesive, clean the panel, and apply new cut vinyl or a full printed skin in your current branding. It changes the frontage in a few hours, with no new holes in the wall.

Salons and boutiques often want a more refined finish, such as metallic or matt vinyl, or lettering that matches the font on their window film and price lists. We work from your brand files so the fascia, door and windows all look like one design.

For lit signs, we use faces and inks made for illuminated signs, so colours look right both day and night. Projecting signs are double-sided, and we replace both faces together so they match.

Low projecting signs within reach of passers-by are better in polycarbonate, which takes knocks far better than acrylic. For higher signs, acrylic keeps its colour and finish well for years.

When you send photos, include one straight on, one from the side and a close-up of the edge trim. That tells us how the face is held in and whether it can be changed from the front.
