Quick answers

What are SRA1 print sheets?

They are printed sheets supplied at full sheet size, with no cutting or folding options in the configurator. You lay several items or one large design across the sheet and finish them yourself, which suits designers, print brokers and marketing teams. Finished products such as Flyers are better if you want items ready to use.

Which sheet sizes can I order?

The Size dropdown offers SRA1 full sheet, SRA2 full sheet and SRA3 full sheet. SRA1 is the largest of the three and SRA3 the smallest, so pick the one that fits your imposition or the size of your finished piece. For a format outside these three, send the details through Get a Quote.

How much do SRA1 print sheets cost?

Prices start at £45.65 for 100 sheets on the cheapest combination of size, paper and finish, and 1000 sheets start at £201.96. The figure moves as you change size, stock, sides and lamination, and the configurator always shows the live total. For more large-sheet work, see our large format printing page.

What paper choices are available?

There are 14 stocks, from 90gsm Premium Smooth White Paper up to 450gsm Art Board Silk Finish. They include silk and gloss art papers at 130gsm, 170gsm and 250gsm, 350gsm Recycled Uncoated and 300gsm Synaps. The standard is 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish. If you are unsure which suits your job, ask the team.

How long does it take to print SRA sheets?

Allow around 3 working days for production as a typical figure, with delivery time added unless you collect. Plan your own trimming or finishing time on top of that. If a client deadline is close, contact us through the contact page before ordering so we can talk the timing through.

Can SRA sheets be laminated?

Yes. Lamination comes as One Side or Both Sides in Gloss, Matt or Soft Touch, or None. One-side lamination is useful when the reverse will be written on, glued or mounted. Laminated finished items such as Folded and Laminated Leaflets are available if you would rather not trim sheets yourself.

Can I collect SRA1 sheets in Manchester?

Yes. Collection is from Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, Manchester M8 8EB, which helps with large sheets you would rather carry flat yourself. UK delivery is also available, and its cost is shown at checkout. Nearby towns we serve are listed under areas we cover.

What is 300gsm Synaps used for?

Synaps is listed as a 300gsm option alongside the paper and board stocks. It is a specialist material, so if you are considering it for a particular use, such as a menu or outdoor notice, check with the team first that it suits the job. Ready-made Waterproof Menus are an alternative for menu work.

Silk or gloss art paper: which should I pick?

Both are listed at several weights. Gloss finishes, such as 170gsm Art Paper Gloss Finish, suit bold photo-led work, while silk finishes, such as 250gsm Art Paper Silk Finish, are a common pick for text-heavy layouts. If the sheets will be written on, a Premium Smooth White Paper is the more practical choice.

Which stock is best for cards or covers?

For anything that needs to stand up or feel substantial, look at the board weights: 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish, 450gsm Art Board Silk Finish or 350gsm Recycled Uncoated. Lighter papers such as 130gsm suit posters and inserts. For cards that arrive ready to use, see the business cards category.

Is there an uncoated option for writing on?

Yes. The Premium Smooth White Paper range comes in 90gsm, 120gsm, 170gsm and 300gsm, and 350gsm Recycled Uncoated is also listed. These suit sheets that people will write on, such as forms, worksheets or planners. Printed A4 Continuation Sheets are an option if you only need standard office sheets.

When is one-side lamination better than both sides?

Choose One Side (Gloss), One Side (Matt) or One Side (Soft Touch) when only the front is on show, for example a sheet that will be mounted onto board or glued into a display. Both Sides makes sense when the item will be handled from either side, such as a menu or a game board.

Should I print single or double sided?

Single Sided suits posters, display panels and anything mounted. Double Sided is the standard specification and suits sheets that you will cut into leaflets, cards or booklet pages, where both faces carry content. Make sure your file has the correct number of pages for the option you choose.

Why order SRA3 rather than SRA1?

SRA3 sheets are the most manageable to handle and store, and they suit shorter jobs or smaller finished items. SRA1 makes sense when your design is large or you are fitting many items on each sheet. SRA2 sits between the two if neither extreme fits.

Can the sheets be cut to size for me?

Cutting, creasing and folding are not options on this product, which supplies full sheets. If you need the items trimmed, describe the finished size and quantity through Get a Quote. For standard finished products, the flyers and leaflets range comes ready cut.

What is the quantity range for print sheets?

The Quantity dropdown runs from 100 sheets through 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 1000, 2000, 2500, 3000 and 4000, up to 5000. Work out how many finished items fit on each sheet, then divide your target quantity by that number to find how many sheets to order.

What do 500 SRA sheets cost?

On the cheapest combination, 500 sheets start at £115.10, and 5000 start at £953.21. Your size, paper weight, sides and lamination will change the actual total, which the configurator shows as you go. If you need more than 5000, ask about larger runs through Get a Quote.

Is it cheaper to print many items on one large sheet?

It can be, because you pay per sheet rather than per finished item, so ganging several designs or copies onto one SRA1 sheet spreads the cost. The trade-off is the time it takes you to cut them out. Compare the total against a finished product, such as Postcards, before deciding.

How should I set up an SRA file?

Build a print-ready PDF at the full sheet size you selected, with your items or design laid out exactly as you want them printed. Include crop marks if you will be trimming, and keep important content clear of the outer edge. For help with a particular layout, use our contact page.

Can I put different designs on one sheet?

Yes. Because the sheet is printed as one piece of artwork, you can lay out several different designs side by side, for example a set of labels, cards or tickets. Every sheet in the order prints the same layout. For different layouts, add each as a separate cart item.

Can someone lay out the sheet for me?

Yes. Choose the Professional artwork and design service (+£36.00) at the artwork step and explain what you want on the sheet and how many of each item. It is handy if you have finished designs but no time to arrange them. Our poster printing Manchester page covers single large prints.

How do I place an order for print sheets?

Choose the size, paper type, sides printed, lamination and quantity, and check the live total. Then pick an artwork option, add the sheets to your cart and pay by card at checkout through Stripe, with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted. Extra items can be added from the shop before you pay.

Are SRA sheets sent anywhere in the UK?

Yes, delivery covers the UK, and the cost is calculated at checkout before you pay. Local customers often collect from the Bury New Road studio. There is also a second studio at 20 Burnley Road, Brierfield BB9 5HS for customers in Lancashire.

Who produces the sheets?

WEB PRINT & SIGNS LIMITED, a print, signs and web company working from Manchester since 2003. You can reach us on 0161 315 1151 or hello@webprintsigns.co.uk. Read more about Web Print Signs and the other services the team offers.

Who typically orders unfinished print sheets?

Design agencies, marketing departments, print brokers and makers who cut their own products, such as card makers, crafters and game designers. It suits anyone with their own trimming kit who wants control over the final cut. Agencies can also pass clients to our web design Manchester team for digital work.

Can I use SRA1 sheets as posters?

Yes, a single design across the full sheet works as a large poster or display print, especially on single sided art paper or board. If you want standard poster sizes ready to hang, see Indoor Posters instead, which arrive as finished prints.

Do crafters use SRA sheets for handmade products?

Yes. Card makers, wedding stationers and gift makers print artwork on a heavy board and trim it into cards, tags, wraps or inserts by hand. That keeps the cost per item low on small runs. Finished Swing Tags are available if you would rather skip the cutting.

Can SRA sheets be used for packaging mock-ups?

They can. Designers print box nets or sleeve layouts on a board stock such as 350gsm Art Board Silk Finish, then cut and fold them by hand to test a design. When you are ready for real production, see our custom packaging boxes service.

Can I print board game or classroom resources on these sheets?

Yes. Game boards, card decks, classroom cut-outs and worksheets all fit well on large sheets that you trim yourself. Lamination on both sides helps resources that will be handled often. For bound resources, compare Wiro Bound Booklets.
